SVG's and borders

I have worked with SVG's on Zazzle a bit and I like that you can choose the colour, it gives more options for the user which is great. Recently I made a new image and it worked the same way as before where you can chose the colour and a border colour and weight. It was a little off though so I smoothed it in Illustrator, exported the selection again as a SVG but the options are now gone. Any ideas?

What I have been doing is putting a slightly enlarged version of the SVG under the original SVG as a faux border.

I thought about doing this and will try, but I cant work out what is different between the 2 files where one has the options and the other one doesn't.

Now even the file that had the border options is no longer showing the options. Maybe Zazzle is having some issues.

I just tried uploading a new svg to see if I would get the border options but now I'm not even getting any color options either. Hope this is just a bug, and not some change Z has made.

I haven't uploaded a new svg in a while but remember having & posting about this issue when I first started learning to use them. Except in my case I didn't want the fill + border option, I wanted the option where you can change each of the colors up to 5 I think it is. I believe that the color options replaced the old fill + border way. I found that if I got the fill + border option, or no options at all, it was because I didn't make the svg properly.

You are right, the elements in the SVG file have to be ungrouped to get the color options. I didn't notice that my svg test image had a few grouped objects, once i ungrouped it and re-uploaded to zazzle the color options appeared but still no border options.

I think I read somewhere that zazzle removed the border options.  I haven't seen them in months on any SVG files I uploaded

Yes, that's exactly what I learned the hard way, too. I use Photopea to convert .psd to .svg. Each color you want changeable has to be on it's own layer before uploading to Photopea or it doesn't give the desired options in Zazzle even though it might look OK on its own.

Zazzle got rid of the border option some time ago on new SVG uploads, don't know why.

It was working yesterday when uploaded a new file.

This is the one that I made the other day, can anyone check that the fill/border options are there please. https://www.zazzle.com/mens_barbers_scissors_logo_classic_business_card-256853933235784319

It is strange that using this same file just a few hours later results in no options.

Yes I get the border options on your scissors. I used to be able to get the border options on my files back when Z started accepting SVG files but not since. Have no idea what's going on.

Thanks for checking. Something must be up for this change to happen in the same day.

It's very weird, I just uploaded a simple shape (circle) with one fill color (yellow) and a black border,  and still no border options, the Z designer is interpreting the the black border as a fill color.
