The images on creative market that are listed as “FullPOD” commercial use etc…..
do they all need to be altered or can I use a background design on my product just as is?
sorry if this has been asked or explained before but I’m confused and try really hard to follow the rules.
I used a background design for an item but it was taken down for violating copyright rules.
how are the images you buy supposed to be used? I make patterns and combos with them but I thought the ones that are full pod license you can just use as is.
thanks for any info!

Did you mean CreativeFabrica? I am pretty sure CreativeMarket does not have a Full POD license but CreativeFabrica does. They can be used as is but you have to pay the upcharge for that license and you have to lock the design tool so the customer can't access them. And they can't be enabled for digital download.

Where does it say anything about locking the design tool?

It doesn't as such. But unless the POD parts are woven together in such a way that they can't be excised after screen capping in the design tool then I see screen cap in the design tool as a form of download. I may just be overly cautious.

Technically screencapping someone else's design isn't legal, so I don't think that's necessary to do. If someone want the graphics they could just as easily screencap it right from CF. But it certainly doesn't hurt to be extra cautious.

Hi KC- when you say 'lock the design tool' - are you referring to putting a lock icon on the image itself, or posting the product WITHOUT enabling customization in general so a consumer can't get into the design tool?

Posting it without enabling customization so the customer can't access the design tool.

When you buy the Full POD license, it's supposed to allow as-is use. If your design was taken down for copyright, you can send Zazzle the license that clearly states it can be used as-is. However, are you sure that the backgrounds you bought weren't violating someone else's copyright? I try to stick with artists that I know are legit and do their own designs.
