What Happened to Zip Plus Shipping? Did Zazzle Discontinue it?

I was just contacted by a frantic customer wanting me to speed up the shipping for some wedding programs for a ceremony happening next weekend. It seemed to me that there should be plenty of time for them to arrive with Zip Plus shipping - but when I went to see what the general time estimate was, I didn't see it as an option. Has that program gone away? I hope not! That was a really valuable service for last minute day of event orders!

maybe the shipping would get there but given the production lead time to produce a product i'm not sure if the order would be done printing by then? I ordered one sample table card several weeks ago and it has still not arrived

@Harmony The Zip Plus service included not just overnight shipping, but they would also bump your order to the front of the printing queue so you could get things much more quickly than usual. It cost a pretty penny more, but for customers who were working with a tight timeline it was a lifesaver. I'll be really bummed if it's gone away.

THANK YOU!! I looked everywhere through the help section and could not find the link. You know, the programs in question were foldable ones done on Zazzle's paper sheet product rather than the Program product - maybe that's why it wasn't an option?

Hey @Cat,

The ZIP PLUS service is still available to customers to use. However, it is not available on all products at all times.

If you can send on the particular programs this customer wanted I can check and see why the option was not available.

I'm guessing the reason Zip shipping wasn't available is because it's designed on a paper sheet rather than the program product?

This is more than likely due to the product type as you mentioned.

If I go to the ZIP/ZIP PLUS information page and click on programs from there, both options appear for me.

According to this Zazzle Help article, Shipping Info – Zazzle Help Center, Zip and Zip Plus are available as shipping options for shipments in the U.S.

However, I've just had a customer who ordered 35 badges tonight contact me via Chat shortly afterwards to communicate the very time-sensitive requirement that he get them by Jul 15th for his event. Even with Express shipping, the earliest he could receive them is Jul 18th.

So I decided to see if Zip or Zip Plus was an option (as the product would be shipped within the continental U.S.) ... and unfortunately, Zip and Zip Plus are not available for badges. Could the appropriate Help article please be updated to reflect that exceptions to certain products do apply?

I've asked that said customer speak to Zazzle Customer Care on Monday morning to see what can be done to expedite this order. Obviously, I'd hate to lose the royalty, but more importantly, he would be out badges for his event (perhaps without much of a recourse even to a local competitor, given his already tight deadline) and also, he probably wouldn't have the best (first) impressions of Zazzle, either.

This is why I tell customers ALL shipping questions are handled by Zazzle Customer Service. There is no way to know all of the ins and outs of this process. I am sure it gets more complicated daily. There are not enough hours in the day to design disco bachelorette invites and party supplies, design cover photos and take on shipping questions.
