When to use "Add to Featured Products"?

Hello! I would like to know what is the utility of featured products? or how do you use it? Have this some impact on product visibility or zazzle promotion? Do you use for your best selling products? How do you decide which products to add?

The "featured products" doesn't work to my knowledge. It did work many years ago. It's been replaced within Settings > Advanced Settings > under the Customize Store functions.

Thanks Gilder! Yes, I see we can set up Featured Product but I really don't know if is useful, like we already have collections, and products section, how to use featured product?, thanks for taking the time to answer

You probably have an answer by now, but I’ve been reading that it’s nice for seasonal products or things that are popular now, so that people see those products early when they visit your page. I’m still newish, so I’m uncertain how it affects ones overall sales, but it seems like a nice concept.
