Which "Recipient" Category to Post Wedding Suites?

Should wedding invitation suite products on Zazzle be posted under the recipient category "for them: couple" or "for anyone: guests"?

I've always just left it blank for wedding stuff unless it's something specific like a bridesmaid gift. The recipient selection doesn't seem to affect much that I've ever noticed. Maybe someone else can chime in on how it might affect the search engine results.

I have no earthly idea how or if it impacts search results, but I generally choose "guests" for things like invitations, favors, and anything that will ultimately end up in the hands of individual guests. For stuff like signs, seating charts, and decor, I usually choose Them>couple. And, of course, for specific gifts & cards (like for bridesmaids) I choose the appropriate person. I have no clue whether it matters or not.

I don't believe it impacts search results at all. However, if on the results page and one does --> Add Filter and selects to add Recipient filter, then they can drill down through that and if they select sub-cat X and you are in sub-cat Y, yours won't show up in the narrowed results.

I just went to the main wedding page, added Recipient filter, and drilled down to For Them --> Newly Weds. Picked one of the first results, then searched by some of their keywords + wedding invitations and theirs came right up at top of results with no filters used. But then if adding Recipient filter and narrowing to "Couple", theirs was removed from results as theirs was under "Newly Weds". So I don't think it matters at all as I seriously doubt many searching for wedding invites think to or know how to go through all the steps of Adding a Filter and drilling down, especially since "recipient" doesn't really apply in this case as they're not shopping for a gift to give someone. 😉

I would think that even if someone does think to click the "Add Filter" to narrow results down, they would be more apt to choose "Design Style" rather than "Recipient" filter. (And as far as I know, we don't have any control where our designs fall there.)
