I know in the past there were some issues where white and blond models were used for products oriented to the black community .. like the big one was "Black Girl Magic" using where and blond women as the model. Now we have the option of having no models, just the garment. Under merchandising, there's a check to show without a model. Fine, but then one garment, a jean jacket did not have that option available .. so the white and blond model shows.
Is there a workaround here, or do only some items offer the nonmodal option? I tried some video tutorials but they mostly cover the general stuff. I was also wondering if there were any mannequin options where one could show clothing on a faceless mannequin.
Thanks!

Have you tried creating your own mock-up photos? You can add several of your own product mock-ups on each product. So you can create photos that show the front and back of apparel. I use PlaceIt and CreativeFabrica.

The mock-up is a good idea but does not solve the problem with the jean jackedt examp;e where there is no box on the merch page to check to not show a model and show the clothing flat. If there were, the mock-up nidea would work fine. When there is no option to not show a model and show the clothing flat, the mock-up feature does not provide a solution as the white models would still be shown with black slogan oriented material.
White models with apparel showing black oriented material has received negative prblicity for Canva in the past . .. things like "It's a black thing" or say, "black like me .. you get the point
Or am I missing something with your suggestion?

Having the same issue and have only seen one African American model on here and that’s with a man. It’s doesn’t work for my prices and I wish they had an option to select to array of ethnicities and types when posting products.
