A customer ordered one of my 7"x5" card designs, but they put it on a square card. Does Zazzle alert customers if what they ordered doesn't fit the dimensions of the design? https://www.zazzle.com/vintage_black_white_lace_thank_you_card-256916780763468083?style=5.25x5.25&en...

They might get a warning from quality control before it goes into production, for all I know. I've heard that Zazzle will sometimes fix customer mistakes, before printed, on their own. I have also noticed, however, that I sometimes tend to see returns on products that a customer has majorly modified. Just keep your fingers crossed & don't think about it until there's a reason to!

@Linda_Elky_Ink We can't see how our customers have modified things unless they send us a photo afterwards. (And that can be a REAL shock, even though they're happy with what they've altered!) So although it looks wrong to you, they probably moved things around and it technically still works. I also got an order today where someone bought a standard sized business card & put it on a square – now the background is not all covered with the artwork. And I even have a square version in my collection. Go figure!

Thank you for your input. It occurred to me that the card size was intentional. I think I get what you are saying...what I see on my screen shows only the card size that was ordered. I can't see any modifications that were made. Makes sense. But I know that if I made a bonehead mistake, I would like a pop-up warning asking if I was sure it was what I wanted, rather than getting 50 copies of the dreadful surprise in the mail.

Good advice! I probably worry too much about my customer's satisfaction. Are we alerted about refunds? If so, knock on wood, I haven't had any.

Your counter in "summary" under "earning summary will go down & then if you go into "royalty history", the amount will turn pink. But you sort of have to do your own sleuthing because you don't get an alert & occasionally, even, the cancelled sale can be after 30 days (after it's already cleared).

I've had cancelled orders. I thought returned items would appear differently than cancelled. Good to know. Thank you!
