Can't activate instant download/digital invitation on my wedding invitations

For the past week, I have been adding new wedding invitations to one of my stores, but there is no option to choose the "instant download" royalty when I create them. I have also tried to activate it later on the "product" page using the drop-down tab that normally allows me to enable it, but this past week it hasn't worked. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I peeked at your store, and it looks like some of your wedding invitations are designed on the wrong product. This invite, for example, is on the generic "card" product (which isn't eligible for instant download) as opposed to the "invitation" product (which is eligible).

Even though they may be the exact same physical product, in terms of how Zazzle treats them (price, marketing, download eligibility, etc.), they're different. As far as I know, the only products available for instant download are invitations, save the date cards, holiday cards, greeting cards, and posters.

Unfortunately, there's no way to transfer a design to a different product without re-doing it (creating a new listing.)

Thank you for your answer! That makes sense. Well, I’ll make some minor changes to the design and create another version with the download option. It’s too bad there isn’t an option to transfer it—being the same size and all, it would be a nice way to save time.

Well, you can use the "transfer design to a product" option that appears a ways down on the product page which will totally save time, but you have to publish it as a new listing - i.e. it won't retain any views or sales credits from the original product. If they're all new products without any sales, then you're not really losing anything by creating a new one and deleting the original. If the product is a good seller then you might want to consider creating two versions so you don't lose the marketplace ranking on the original - but if you go that route be sure to edit the metadata because having products with identical metadata will downrank them in the marketplace.

Thank you so much for your insightful information on the instant download issues. I am brand new to Zazzle, but was also excited about the option to sell as instant downloads for my own designed images, the Zazzle information was no help. I hope that others looking for help on this issue also finds your answer too.

God bless!
