Captions to Mockups/Cover Photos/Insitu images

Can someone please explain the significance of the captions to uploaded mockups?

Is this something that will be searched re: SEO. Where does it show up.  What is it's purpose?

They show by the side of a cross sell as extra images for the customer to view

I write that they are part of a collection and what it is (just in case my cover image doesn't explain it very well 😂)

It must take a while to populate because I don't see the captions on my products in either of these places. Thanks for the input though.

@PlayfulPixel I think at the moment they only show up on cross sell types of collections - so if they're the other types (ie. gift/similar styles etc) - that's not been switched on yet so to speak (if ever)

Sara - you are a mine of information!  Yes, I have tested on the gifts collection so that's why it's not showing up... thanks.

The "caption" you add to product cover images becomes the label that shows under the image when you click for the zoomed-in view on the product page, like this:

(This is just one of the Zazzle-provided images with their caption, but it shows you where people will see your captions on your personal covers.)
