Christmas Cross-sell- Why are these Bonus products?

Why are these products in the bonus section for Christmas Cross-sell? These at least should be recommended products, since they are either for gift wrapping or for Christmas parties: Tissue Paper; Gift Bags; Ribbon; Paper Plates, Cups, and Napkins.

Sorry for the delay in getting back here, Connie. The current Christmas Collection is really all about Cards. This buyer typically shops earlier and is looking to get the family Christmas Cards sent out. We’ve added more products to this collection to generate excitement, inform the customer that we have more products they may like and hopefully generate impulse or return purchases. We are currently evaluating how to best handle the bigger Christmas season to address things like gift wrapping and parties but we haven’t landed on a solution yet. More exciting news to come in the next couple of weeks.

Oh, I see. I thought because it also had wrapping paper and gift tags, that it was meant to include the gift wrap aspect of Christmas too. I guess that also explains why cards are a required product!

Just noticed a whole bunch of new recommended products added 37 in total. Will be checking to see how much are needed this time to get the collection to green.

At first the Christmas cross sell turned green at 17 items, but now I've created 30 of the 37 recommended only it's still yellow. This particular design just isn't working on t-shirts and leggings. I've got no idea if there's any extra advantage other than having more products with your design when the collection bar is green instead of yellow. But I guess if it's yellow it's fine, since they're recommended and not required products.

BTW @James Gift bags is pointing to " Crafts & Party Supplies > Gift Wrapping Supplies > Gift Boxes" instead of gift bags.

I don't bother trying to get them to turn green, as long as I have enough minimum products so they aren't red.

I agree 100%. I am literally in the middle of fixing up an old collection for Christmas, and have had so many issues with it I've had to delete it altogether and start again. But before I did, I noticed there were 'required' products in a CHRISTMAS collection such as ties and leggings, but no wrapping paper etc.
