New media added to collection, error or intentional?

I added a new image to one of my wedding collections and noticed that this image is now the default image in the product pages of everything in that collection. Is that an error? I have an invitation as one of my image products in the collection media image, so it looks great as a default for the invitation, but is it meant to show up on every related product?  As I recall, it was advised that we shouldn't put more than one product in a media image on the product page, as it may confuse customers, so I'm highlighting it, in case it's a bug.

That's intentional I believe. The collection cover image will show on all the products within that collection (not as the main image - on mine it's the second one down as it already has an product cover image). 

Cover photos for individual products should only have one product in the image however for collection covers, you can put more than one product in the collection cover.

I'm under the impression that collection cover images should showcase to tell the story  of the collection so to speak. Eg for a wedding cross sell - 4 or 5 flat lay in one image?

Ahh, I see. It's showing as the first image on the left of screen. Not the main image. Maybe I had too much coffee and accidently clicked it yesterday upon opening it lol. In any case, it looks good now.

Yep, it's expected for now. We're running some tests to find ways to encourage customers to interact with collections.
