As has been noted elsewhere, sorting items within collections is difficult. We are all busily trying to get things into order, and creating new products for our collection.
Quite frequently it is our newest items that we'd like to see near the top of the selection. By default they are sent each time to the end of the sort, leaving us to try to drag them up from the very bottom, which is not easy to do, especially with larger collections.
Proposal: To help us jump start positioning when sorting, would it be possible to add a "send to top" option in for products? Or some kind of up arrow that lets us push them up row by row? Then even if we don't want it to be the very first item, we can at least grab the newly created products and pull them into place without it being such a struggle to click and drag them a few rows at a time.
