A very nice lady gave us suggestions on how to make the backs of our postcards appealing to people. So I did some editing. But when I published it it turned into a whole new postcard. And of course the new one doesn't have the Views and Sales that the original has so nobody will find it. Is there a way to edit the text and save it on the original?
Here is the link to the new copy:
<div style="text-align:center;line-height:150%">
<a href="https://www.zazzle.com/z/7z7wx300?rf=238751812564909656" rel="nofollow"><img src="https://rlv.zcache.com/mermaid_with_sea_horse_and_fish_postcard-r6d59c76c9eeb4aa0a6d6fa0c18382835_uc..." alt="Mermaid With Sea Horse And Fish Postcard" style="border:0;" /></a>
<br/>
<a href="https://www.zazzle.com/z/7z7wx300?rf=238751812564909656" rel="nofollow">Mermaid With Sea Horse And Fish Postcard</a>

</div>
And this is the old one that sold 15 times:
<div style="text-align:center;line-height:150%">
<a href="https://www.zazzle.com/mermaid_with_sea_horse_and_fish_postcard-239853661058026446?rf=23875181256490..." rel="nofollow"><img src="https://rlv.zcache.com/mermaid_with_sea_horse_and_fish_postcard-rf78cd9ce83b148a2893c01692c010abb_uc..." alt="Mermaid With Sea Horse And Fish Postcard" style="border:0;" /></a>
<br/>
<a href="https://www.zazzle.com/mermaid_with_sea_horse_and_fish_postcard-239853661058026446?rf=23875181256490..." rel="nofollow">Mermaid With Sea Horse And Fish Postcard</a>
<br/>by <a href="https://www.zazzle.com/store/tenshi_no_yume?rf=238751812564909656" rel="nofollow">Tenshi_no_Yume</a>
</div>
I'm showing these not to promote myself but because I wonder if you like the changes I made, and if so, how could I just change the original? Or, should I delete the new one and just leave the old one alone?
Thank you so much.
P.s. oh no! I think the new one didn't even show in the Market yet....

@PurpleSeaNymphCurrently this is the way things work. We can not edit an existing product without creating a new product. With that being said, Zazzle did run a test at the end of last year where some designers were allowed to make changes to existing products. My understanding is that every change had to be viewed by a human and approved before they could reappear in the MP. So it was a human labor intensive experiment. But it does show that the tech side of allowing us to make changes to existing products works. I would guess that Zazzle now has to figure a way to make things less human intensive before they could allow everyday designers to have such an ability. There are probably close to 50,000 designers afterall. It is something that we all hope will come to bare at some point in the future. Till then, we have to create a new product, losing sales stats and view stats when we want to update, alter or change an existing product.

Maybe they could compromise and allow each designer 3 product edits a month. That's probably a lot less than the number of masks they had to approve manually!

Technically speaking, a revised product/design hasn't earned the popularity or sales of the original product, even if the new design seems superior. People liked the old one, and it sold, so if you mess with it, it may not sell anymore; people are weird that way.

That's true when you are changing the design itself. But when it comes to fixing templates, it's a different story. For example, I have a wedding invitation that has an extra hidden template. You can't see it on the actual card, but it is still under the Personalize menu, which probably confuses customers, as the conversion rate is terrible. I fixed the issue and reposted as a new product, but that new one hasn't gotten traction yet.

The only method I've found is a defensive one where I go over things with a lot of care, and then do the same when I post the product for sale. Even then, I may miss some tiny thing, but it's a lot less than before we had the intermediate "mock-up" of what the product page will look like.
On the designer end, it's a true annoyance, but I can understand Zazzle's viewpoint. They've doubtless had enough experience with those who like to "work the system," and in so doing, can bring down the quality Zazzle wants.
