I would like to be able to put a continuous dCard insideesign inside a card for a great background effect. Right now it has a seam in the middle.
Thank You

@ibelieveimages I have many cards that are designed on the inside and have ordered plenty of them. I can confirm that the 100's that I have ordered do not have a white seam down the center of the inside of the card. It used to be the same for the spine, or outside of the card, but in the last few months, the spine has been white. While that is a little disappointing, I find it acceptable.

@ibelieveimages- I also want to note that while lining things up properly is tricky, it can be done so you get the appearance of a seamless image across the inner folds. Note though, that sometimes the printers have difficulty making this happen. So while it may look great on the screen, errors do occur in the print process.
So it would be great to have one design area that covers both folds. Although I am not completely sure this ability would cure the printing issues...

The white "seam" is only on the previews to display the fold. I'm asking for a full-background design area for the inner pages for probably years now. Such a background design area over both inner pages already exists on other folded cards, so I don't understand why this useful feature hasn't been implemented yet on regular greeting cards. There won't be printing issues at all either way, because the print of the inner pages will happen in one run (at least this is how it works normally). The design tool does the whole job of creating the print file for outer and inner pages, and I truly hope, that tool is able to put the images together correctly, without any displacements.

I had to return some cards that were printed over a year ago now due to a graphic being double printed on both sides of a fold, instead of across a fold. Maybe having one design area that spanned multiple folds would prevent such errors. If so, it would be a wonderful improvement. But there must be some issue that has prevented it from becoming reality... idk what it is though...

I have no idea why the folded greeting cards don't have the inner background design area option while the foil variant and also other folded cards do have it. I doubt they are printed in different ways, technically speaking. In professional printing I've never encountered the requirement of having to send print files for every 4 faces separately. You use to make one print file for the outer faces (front + back) which are printed on the usually coated front side of the paper sheet, and one for the inner pages (left + right) which are printed on the usually uncoated backside of the sheet. The front of the sheets gets printed, then the backside, then comes the cutting process, and finally the fold. Unless they print on precut & folded sheets but unlikely, and even then it changes nothing on how the paper faces are printed. When errors occur that are not print-related (print quality, ink & displacement issues) it's commonly the print file generation process that went wrong. Let's hope we'll see an improvement someday, especially now that all faces can be fully designed (1 extra background area for both across the outer and the inner card faces).
