is it necessary to create a design on all options available for shirts etc?

Morning All

I always wondered, is it actually beneficial to create a design on all the shirt/hoodie etc options available as Zazzles tool allows a person to select what they want it to appear on eg I create a shirt on a mens standard black t shirt, the option exists then to select a standard womans t shirt as well then.

So is there actually any benefit to creating both? besides appearing in both the mens and womans section on Zazzles marketplace, but then you could argue, make a hoodie, and a kids shirt and a bella and canvas shirt etc.

When does it become time wasting vs beneficial?

Hi Sven, Many years ago I used to post every shirt style and color, then had to go back and remove discontinued etc. so for me there is no reason to do it, since as you said there is a drop down for shirt type, color, size and more. It may be reasonable to show mens and womens tho I suppose. Also there is a limit of 100k per account and you can quickly reach that by adding every product style and color when it is not needed. IMHO, also kind of fills up and slows the marketplace and shops needlessly, especially when lots of shops do it. Customers can choose according to their needs. Others can give their insights too, to help you figure it out.

I think I pretty much figured it out, I think it would be better to classify it according to whatever you would want to market your shop as eg if you sold shirts, mousepads, buttons and magnets for example, then make a base design of that and let people decide from there themselves if they want it on something else. I would think Zazzle would start employing the same principle at some point eg make a women's line, a Childs line, a baby line and a men's line, and then offer the various options from there, rather than allowing every design with every product created.

But I think I have my answer, unless someone else wants to contribute. @idraw thanks for the help.
