Hello all!
not sure if this is the right place to post this ---
Yes I'm a newbie and I have been trying to place my design on mugs. The trouble I'm having is it seems if you properly center the design on the template, it will look off on the preview images. And if you center the design to look correct on the preview images, it is off-set on the template.
Which makes the best printed mug - should I center my images on the template or go by the preview images?
Also - I found the Zazzle forums through a Google search. How do I get to the forums from my account - where is the link?
Thank You!

Thank you Sarah_H!
Now I can find the forums🙂
I have been trying to place the same image on both sides of the mug and it's confusing to rely on the preview pix. I'll rely on the artboard. And thanks for the grid tip - !🙂

The link to the forum can be found from your store homepage (right hand side)
Rule of thumb is to go by the artboard as the previews can sometimes be be a bit off I've found.
Switching on the guidelines and gridlines can be useful to see where the artwork will end and use the align tool to center to make sure.

Make sure to post a new thread in only one spot. The designers generally look through all the forums, so you needn't worry no one will see your post if you place it in what seems the wrong spot.

So glad you brought up the topic. I, too, struggle with 2 sided mugs. It's unclear to me how we're supposed to use the green lines (see below). What is the best way to 'center' the design on each side? Agree that the preview can be misleading when you think you've 'centered'.

Caprice -
It is not easy. It would be helpful if we could know the size of the strip that prints around the mug so we can prepare it before fitting it to the template.
If you saw my other post about Poor Printing - it makes it tough to try to center designs on the template only to have the printers print them off - and my guess is the fault is usually the printers' and not the designers.
