I’m going to design a few planners and calendars. Do they roll over each year or do I have to create new ones for next year?

Calendars are updated (new years get the days adjusted to current) You can see this when you open a calendar that is for sale; the buyer can select a future year. Zazzle automatically changes the default year (around October?). You must remember to not put the YEAR on the cover - at least make it a template that can be personalized.
Planners: I am not very familiar with these. Do planners usually give a specific year? There is no YEAR selection for personalization, so I am thinking they do not work the same as calendars.
