So confused, What is discontinued and what is sold out

I'm so confused with this new forum, no idea how to look up a topic any more.  Does anyone have a list of discontinued products.  And why do some say discontinued yet on the product page it shows as just sold out?

Hi Debbie, I've posted this before as there seems to be many new posts on this bug everyday. It's a known issue for over a month. I found a hack you can use in the back end Products page to determine if something is truly discontinued.

Under a product labeled discontinued use the "Action" drop down.

If the drop down includes "Edit details" than the product is sold out.

If the drop down only says "delete" and "transfer this design" the product is discontinued.

Thanks so much, wish I had not deleted a few of those.

Hi @dizzydebbie  and @LMGildersleeve, I just noticed it has changed. "Discontinued Product Option" is in orange and "Discontinued Product Line" is in pink.

Thanks for passing that along Laura. Now I'm bummed, the bathroom sets are discontinued?

Zazzle has tried to make things clearer in the back-end but options that are just sold out (certain colors, sizes, or shapes for example) and show as Sold Out on the product pages are still being desiginated as a Discontinued Product Option in the back-end and "discontinued" is totally different than "sold out" so it's still confusing. There needs to be a third label in the back-end just for things that are only temporarily unavailable / sold out.

I am struggling with this too and it would super good to be able to filter them easier! I am seeing the optimising bell came up in our feed but I have so many discontinued now showing I can't see the easy fixes in between the hundreds out of stock or discontinued... I don't want to delete them just yet the drawstring bags returned so you never know! I would like the pencil cases back... and the plates either one would do! I better filtering option would help if only... I wish I never created cases that is for sure more hassle than they were worth. Unfortunately this discourages me to take a risks on spending time designing on new fancier items now. Particularly as I think it also affects my rank. The people with the high ranks only do paper products which rarely have these issues 😪

So what does it mean if it says “product line discontinued “ but I’m still able to edit the details? Even more confusing is my product stats says it was sold 2 days ago.

I also thought if is showed Edit Details it was just out of stock until I checked my old postage stamps. They show Edit Details 😕
