Using the new frames in the zazzle elements

I am wanting to use one of the new elements frames but using a caption and not an image.  It does not seem possible.Am I missing something?  For my purposes, the frames are great for placement of quotes, etc. rather than an image.

@Shar-Ken  The frames are meant for images and not Design Tool text.

You can upload your quote as either a png/jpg and place it in a frame but then it wouldn't be editable by the customer if needed

Sara_H,  I guess I will have to give up on the "look" I was going for in my design using one of the frames with my text.  I did not realize that it was not possible to place text instead of images in the frames.  It would be so great if we could do both.  Thanks you for sharing the info regarding using a. png/jpg and explaining however that it then could not be editable by the customer.   Appreciate it!

Sorry, I don't see why you can't add your text template on a layer above your frame?

Edit: you can also use a plain color image in the frame if you need a background.

Anne, I experimented using some of Sara_H's suggestions and yours and while it was not exactly my original concept, it is very close and acceptable to me.  Thanks to you  as well as Sara and Windy for taking time to help!

I can't make that happen either. But I do try to use the SHAPES for this purpose.  I say TRY because those shapes are never the shape I want and when I try to manipulate the shape,  I have no way to change width without changing height.  But when I have tried, I have put the text on top of the shape and reduced the opacity of the shape.

Pinterest and Me. We're a thing again.

Windy, I have been able to use the shapes (with the same limitations you mentioned) --and I could do that, but one of the frames appealed to me so much for this one design I am trying to put together that I was hoping I was just missing something about how to proceed.   The shapes won't give me the same kind of look that I was going to get using the frames.   Thanks for sharing your experience with the new elements.
