AI tools for Generative Fill

Are there any other tools for generative fill besides Photoshop? I was thinking about getting the Photoshop subscription, but now they are limiting the "credits " for generative fill, so it won't be worth the money for me. That was all I wanted it for! I tried Firefly, which is free, but they only have a few credits also, and unfortunately the downloaded images are very poor quality.

I use Midjourney. I have the Basic subscription which is 200 generations/month at 8$/month and if you run out you can buy more generations (I only ran out once and I do a lot of AI).

Pro: It has all sorts of unique features and keeps adding more. You can "inpaint" (change selected parts of the image), "outpaint" (add more to the top or sides) which are also available in DALL-E. But now you can also "describe" whereby you upload an image and it reinterprets it in 4 wild new ways and describes it as well (the description is unfortunately too bizarre to use on Zazzle). And there is a style tuner whereby you give it a prompt and it gives you 64 different versions of the prompt and guides you to fine tuning which style you like best.

Con: unlike Photoshop's generative fill, it can only add to the top/bottom/sides/middle of images that has itself made. Photoshop can do it with literally any image. I've been using it to flesh out the sides or top/bottom of paintings I did that turned out to be just a little too narrow or short for some specific product.

DALL-E also does inpainting and outpainting, their terms for what Photoshop has called generative fill. Midjourney just has arrows to create blank canvas in places, or a selection lasso but it all amounts to the same thing.

That con of Midjourney makes it unusable for me. I need to be able to add to existing stock photos, as well as remove unwanted objects, not generate whole new images. Does Dall-E let you add to existing images?

DALL E2 via OpenAI can add to existing images. DALL E3 via ChatGPT can't. I'm not sure why they haven't yet merged these two versions for a super version that can do all the things of both 2 and 3 but they haven't.

So DALL E2 via Open AI is your best bet.
