A customer contacted me to create a "reservation book" for their restaurant. I thought the guest book might work for what they want but really can't tell what the pages look like. Has anyone bought the guest book and do you think it could be used as a "reservation book"?

How about suggesting the hardcover spiral notebook with the check-list style paper option to her? It's laminated front & back same as the guestbooks, would lay flat on the hostess stand, could use the check boxes for checking off parties that have arrived, and it's less costly than a guestbook.

There is a thumbnail you can view when looking at the guestbook and it shows the inside pages. It shows 2 columns of blank lines with the headings “Names” and “Comments”. I do not see an option to select a different style of inside pages.

I suppose the "Names" section can be used for the customer who made the reservation and the "Comments" section for time and date of reservation

so maybe it will work, customer said all she needs is space for name, date, phone number, and how many are in the dinner party....it may work. I know that Amazon has reservation books that are quite nice, but this customer likes the idea of being able to add the business logo and she does not want a paperback, afraid it will fall apart. Thanks for responding and giving more details

Just to let you know I implemented your design tips and created the reservation book for the customer, used their logo on the cover, and explained to them how to use a hardcover spiral notebook for reservations. They loved it. Thanks again for your helpful tips.

A good idea but it would be a chore for anyone running an appointments business to have to go through the pages hand-writing the dates at the top of every page in advance. Would be useful if there was a diary style day-to-a-page option, with the appropriate number of pages for each future year.
