Did You All Know We Now Sell Hot Sauce?

Just noticed this on the zazzle.com home page

and thought "HUH? Hot sauce?". I never saw an announcement for it or other Creators talking about it. But there's even a new sub cat for it on the nav menu

and if you check it out there are 97 designs on the market so far, oldest one dated 2/24.

Here's the blank for them.

Strikes me as a really bizarre thing to try to sell. I've known many people over the years who grow peppers and make their own hot sauce which they give away (once just for fun I made custom labels on my home printer for a friend who was doing this) , and currently one person who makes, bottles and sells their own hot sauce but with store-bought peppers. I can totally see empty bottles to put your own sauce in selling, but I can't wrap my mind around why someone would want a commercially-made hot sauce with a custom label?

Huh???? I had no idea. There was no forum announcement. I can't imagine people giving out hot sauce as a party favor but I couldn't imagine them giving out packets of powdered drinks either so who knows? Maybe Gulf Coast weddings????

The hot sauce industry has been booming for a few years. There are some delicious sauces out there right now and they continue pushing the Scoville scale.

This hot sauce is just cayenne and vinegar. It's basically generic Crystal sauce. Not my go to flavor profile but it works good on eggs and in bloody marys. It's not as versatile as something like Sriracha or Cholula or even Tabasco and imho none of those are very spicy. I'm a habanero guy. I like moderate to face melting spice and flavor. Toddlers eat cayenne peppers around here, lol.

It appears that these are being marketing as party favors, but still, options would be nice. I wish Zazzle would team up with Yellowbird. They make some of my favorites.

Many years ago zazzle partnered with  https://www.mohotta.com/ and we had 4 different flavors of branded, blank bottles to choose from.  I created quite a few and they sold pretty well before that partnership ended.  This one appears to be non-branded, with a Louisiana Cajun profile so basically, very similar to either Tabasco or Frank's Red Hot (which are both very popular).  I think these might do really well.

this sounds like products that were given a soft launch (capri pants, embossers) to a small, select group of Zazzle creators before being opened up to all (except the embossers, of course) with a general announcement.

would be cool (no pun intended), if different levels of heat and colors (e.g. green and yellow) were also available as options!

I knew, but wondered how well they would sell here.

HOT SAUCE? Okay, I think there might be an announcement bug since it hasn't even showed the picture ledges either, I saw them when i was browsing in the forums.

(Now I will go design some hot sauce🤣)
