Fabric tile size

I do not understand how the fabric tile size works not sure what size to pick or why to pick it. I see you can make the tile bigger or smaller all kinds of setting it is too confusing can someone is easy terms please explain the tile size on the fabric and what to set it on and why. Thank you, very much appreciated.

By what I can tell it simply adjusts the size of the pattern on the fabric smaller or larger. Cannot find much information for the fabric.
