Feedback for Home Page (product grid style)

(Moderator edit: We currently have an AB test running, and some users left us feedback about our standard home page. I'm splitting this information out into its own discussion so that we can keep organized.)

The images that are used for 'Stores you may like' section look very blurry and unprofessional - can they be changed to the store's logo rather than a random blown up design from that store? Or even a random product shot would look so much better (like in the customer favorites)

I like the idea of it (from a customer point of view) but the "trending from stores you follow" until a week ago showed all Christmas designs and products for me. I assume the folks I follow are big in the Christmas game but maybe the algorithm can be changed to show more recent popular sales.

There was a long discussion on this back in Feb thiugh the Mods never did add any input to it.
