@James

Can the uv be swiveled round on the promo's please so they show front on for centered designs otherwise they will need to be left aligned to utilize the insitus

Mine aligned properly with the insitu when I centered it using the front and back image layers.  Did you use the background layer to center? I only made one so far and did not use the background layer.

@Malissa it was the full background layer I was testing out - centers correctly on the front and back layers

Yes, I am hesitant to make these with the views showing like this. I want to use the full background layer but the centered image shows to the side. How are you getting around this?

PLEASE DISREGARD, PROBLEM SOLVED WHEN YOU USE THE FRONT AND BACK IMAGE LAYERS

I agree - the insitu position needs to be changed.

I love it but $38 for a small candle is beyond what most will pay when they can print off a custom label and stick it on a candle. Is there any way to get the price lower?

Don't forget tax and shipping 😄

1) a top-down in-situ with the lid on top of the candle would be nice.
2) please offer the option of creating a sticker for the lid.
3) maybe offer the customer a variety of scents?

A variety of scents would be especially nice for the holidays. I'm reluctant to make any with traditional decorations like pine branches etc. because I fear customers would assume it's pine scented.

When I saw one with a bee label design my first thought was people might think it's a candle made from beeswax. So your reasoning sounds logical with people expecting how a candle smells based on the design.

Lovely, but please add more scents! I am one who despises sandalwood. Maybe just plain vanilla scent??

BKMuir

Oh-h-h I did not register the VANILLA SANDALWOOD! I though plain Vanilla ... Hmmmm.

I agree with others - variety of scents would be nice.

i thought the same, but i bought them and they smell amazing, vanilla scent you cannot smell sandlewood if it is there at all, its not overpowering as you would expect

Looks lovely. What sort of material is used for the print? Paper or white vinyl? Guess it's not transparent, is it translucent?

Good question. I was assuming the design would be printed directly on the glass - at least that's how it looks in the mockup - especially if you don't put anything on the background part. If it's printed on a sticker or something and stuck to the glass, I think we might have some disappointed customers, especially at that price point.

Well, yes, that's how it should be. I can't say why my first thought was a wrapper. I guess my mind connected to the regular candles, where I expected a direct print and it was a paper wrap instead. I found out only after reading a few not-so-happy reviews mentioning a wrap and then came to the forum to get confirmation.

Zazzle: Can you confirm a direct print on the glass, and if so, is white printed or transparent? I also think, the product description should include a line describing the "beautiful vibrant print on the glass holder" that makes this candle so special and worth the price. Right now it just describes the candle inside. Just a thought.

But what do you do with it when the candle has burnt out? Cleaning wax from glass is a pain.

I would have much preferred a cheap glass scented soy candle with a paper sticker and a transparent vinyl sticker as an option. They would be perfect as wedding favours. I won't be making these as they are way too expensive but if they can produce cute little cheap ones in the future, that would be fantastic and I'm sure would sell well.

If it's a standard size you can replace the candle and reuse it. Perhaps, Zazzle should also sell the candles separately at modest prices. I like your idea, this would be a nice addition to the candles they already have.

I suppose with one of them 50% sales, people will buy it. Replacement candles would be great.

they are printed directly on the glass with transparent /no background, they look amazing

Great! Thanks for the precious feedback, much appreciated!

Edit: I forgot to ask: I suppose, white gets printed?

Why so expensive? I can get a custom printed vanilla (and other scents) soy candle in Australia for less than $5 each.

I don't design for any products where the price point is so high compared to the competition (including personalized offerings) because I don't believe it is a good investment in my time for the few people who might be prepared to spend so much more.

It would be nice to sell scented candles with extra discount! Sandalwood and vanilla mixture is ok for me.

I'm not one for candles personally. Have been using Scentsy products no burn no black smoke and a zillion scents to choose from. Might make a few for practicing Witches and Pagans or something.

This is a market I am familiar with, and vanilla essence candles are popular.

I just added a couple of designs to the candles. Love them and the product photos! Easy to fit my design perfectly on the candle.

Because of the price, we're thinking 50% off sale and designerish gift candles for hostess gifts or gifts for those who enjoy at-home spa time.

Although, as we do articles on hotels, we found a $13 room-service cupcake. Our reaction was that vending machine downstairs sells two cupcakes for $1.

Now, we found a hotel restaurant selling a bacon cheeseburger for $16 and an apple dumpling for $10. The restaurant has been in business for a while.

I bought these for christmas presents, they are absolutely beautiful, the online pics don't do them justice, they are so nice in real life & very high quality

I just designed a candle from the "Create your own" page. I chose the second/right one (Lower price). This is the one without the lid.

I found that if you want to put a background behind your text (on the full display) the background covers any text or image. If you switch to the item with a lid - then you can design with a background). Once posted I could go back and edit the details for NO LID.

I discovered the

@BKMuir Can you please share a link to the product you encountered this issue with, so I can reach out to the team to look into this further for you?

I can not link to the un-published work-in-progress, which is where the problem was. I began with the last scented candle that is priced at $37.95. When trying to make a solid background color (on the FULL view, any text or image was "covered up" . When I switched to the WITH LID option from the product page, I was able to add a background and have text and image show.

Here is the published product that I went back and edited to make it without the lid.
