Zazzle currently has 17,588 results for "woodblock" which is a term describing an art technique. I wonder how the product name chosen for the new product will affect the customer search experience.

Using "woodblock" gets you the number you have posted. But if you use "wood block" as Zazzle uses, the results are 15K+. These products have the faux wood design element. I think they are the products that will be affected.

I couldn't help but notice that what we're "designing" here is just the photo print, not the stand, and the stand is an optional charge. I just made a test product with a 7 x 5 print at 14.5% royalty. At list price, the print alone is $2.20, then the optional stand is an additional $11.65. So my question is, is the upcharge for the stand going to be subject to the 5% User-Option calculations or will our set royalty rate be applied to the print + stand total?

Also just noticed these are double-sided prints and the price for the print alone goes up a bit ($0.60 in the above case) if you put a design on both sides. And if you leave the back blank, the views don't include one of the back. That confused me as I was trying to see what the backside looked like. (If you add an image to the back, then previews show the back, too.)

Maybe use the search term, “wood block prints,” since customers will likely buy the prints separately.

Hmmm, I’d change the name of this, were I you. Woodblock print implies something entirely different from a photo with a wooden stand.

"Prints" in Z search term pulls up posters. So even if a customer were to use "prints" in their search it may not help.
Perhaps instead of "wood block" Z should use "wood stand".

Agree! Stand or holder seem like better terms. Even photo frame might make sense, even though it's not technically a frame.

We are not allowed to design the Wooden Block stand, just the printed paper part. Totally misleading name for product.

Wood block printing has been done for centuries, and thus an awful lot of people will think this is what it is (just as I did). I thought "& Prints" was a typo.

I really like this product but it's next to impossible to find just this product in the marketplace. I tried different searches, and they are always mixed in with the wall picture ledges, the wood topped tapestries, prints and a bunch of other stuff. It should have its own listing so a customer can look at only this product. Also, I agree, the name should be changed. Why not call them "mini prints with stand" or something simple? Another POD has them and I believe they're called "mini art prints", so customers may be more used to searching with that term. It's a nice, affordable product, but at this point I doubt they will sell well since they're buried in the marketplace and too hard to find.

I can find them if I search "photo holder".

"holder' is what Zazzle automatically appends to the product title. If you look here (Picture Ledge category sorted by newest) you can see how Creators are editing the title and "photo holder" seems to be most common.
If you publish it as print only, no holder, it still adds "holder" to the title.
I can see designing & marketing these for a specific use, like say table card numbers or counter signage, and tagging, titling and selecting your department based on that. So people will stumble on them if searching for "rustic floral table number signs" or whatever. But I can't see anyone other than Creators searching for these specifically as "wood block photo stand" or whatnot as you'd have to know you specifically want a wood block photo stand and that it's an accessory Zazzle carries. So I'm not sure it matters much what Zazzle is calling them, I think it's more important they are tagged & titled for the use-case you designed them for as that's the more likely thing people would be searching for.

The "About" for this product is all about the special high-quality printing process and type of paper with just a brief mention that you can add an optional wood block stand. Yet it's being titled and categorized based on that optional accessory. I don't understand this product.
Anyway, it says the paper is 120 lb., 17.5-point thick uncoated matte paper. That's the same as a matte postcard. But if you look at the one angled view provided, you can clearly see the thick white side which suggests the print is glued on foam board. So if someone orders just the print, do they get a print(s) of normal postcard thickness or would they get a piece of foam board? with the print(s) glued on it? If you de-select the stand, the previews don't include a side view, and the description doesn't explain any of this.

I spent some time on this last night and even created a Show Me board for Wood Block & Prints. Am I right that nowhere is the language "Wood Block & Prints" seen in association with this product when you create one? I can't even find a blank for this product when I look down below my product on my own product page and "Wood Block & Prints" does not attach to the title of the product when posted.
So I wonder if "Wood Block & Prints" is used here only (in the threads about the new product) and if a better way to present this product to The Creators would be to say that there is a new product accessory available as an add-on to some orders.

Hi James, you need to redo the angled preview:
Edit: as a side note, the used paper thickness and weight would be nice to have for 5x7 cards (324 GSM is pretty standard for branded greeting cards sold in retail), and I miss a glossy print option, or at least satin semi-gloss. Just two thoughts. Cheers!
