I moved this message into its own conversation since it's a bit off-topic for the Media Manager thread. -Scott

I have a "short" screen, only 939 vertical viewing area after browser toolbars, so can't see the large 1080 image in its entirety anyway nevermind the caption. If I reduce my browser zoom level to 80%, that makes the image and its label/caption a perfect fit. But I never do that, I'm just used to scrolling to see if I'm looking at Front, Back, Side View, etc... If I want to see the entire image in one frame I go back to the smaller default view.

My issue is that when using the default product page view, there is no indication of what you are looking at - front, back, left, right, etc.... If you go into the enlarged view, the thumbs still give no indication of what you're looking at, you have to scroll down below the main big image to check. And of course in that view, the image is too big for my screen. So neither option is user-friendly but it's been like this since they introduced the new style enlarged views so it's not really anything to do with the new ability to add our own labels/captions to our own uploads now. But since that aspect has been touched on, I'm adding my two cents as this has always bugged me. I really wish they would add mouse-over text to the thumbs in both views that show the caption/label.

I think the new Media Manager is great, but completely agree with these suggestions. I may be wrong, but today looking at the enlarged images with captions they seem extra enormous to me. I don't remember them being quite that big before and they seem overly large. I also agree that the captions should be visible without having to click into the enlarged view. Having mouse-over captions on the thumbs is a great idea. I'd also like to suggest that when hovering over each image on the main product page a pop-up call-out box or similar be added containing the captions since it's larger and more noticeable than mouse-over text. Thanks for considering these suggestions.

Checking, I found that 1920 x 1080 is the most common monitor size and is what I have.. After that, the screens are smaller or proportionately shorter top to bottom. Even my larger screen cuts off the enlargement. On my husband's monitor, the image is cut off both top and bottom. The only reason I can think of for Zazzle to make the image too large for all screens is to discourage screenshots.

Until recently, didn't Zazzle have captions beneath each thumb? They must have removed them to make room for more cover images.

Reduced enlargements, and also either mouse-over or call-outs for the captions would be really nice.
