Google Analytics Zazzle.co.uk order confirmation

Recently, Google Analytics has often shown me a "Zazzle.co.uk order confirmation". Sometimes I actually have a sale of a product shortly afterwards, but often not. Has anyone observed anything similar and can explain more about this?

Yes, it happens from time to time. It usually corresponds to a sale and shows up almost immediately in the summary. Other times, it doesn’t. I don’t know why. I’ve tried to reproduce the situation thinking that maybe someone was viewing their order confirmation, but I couldn’t confirm that was the reason.
Is it an error? I don’t know. Are there sales that don’t end up in our reports? I hope not — that would be very serious.I suppose it’s some kind of error.

Good to know that I am not the only one who observed it. Last week this happened so often that I was wondering what it means (as you can see above, it's a 600% increase within the last week)...

I never had this specific one, but what I already observed is that sometimes the order confirmation appears in GA almost immediately after the sale and sometimes several weeks after.

Oh, okay. Might be a explanation. I also only see uk order confirmations...

We just don't know if all sales we make are actually ending up in our earnings report. Also: it could be that a customer places something in their shopping basket, but does not proceed to actually buy it?
I also find it rather disturbing that Google knows all these private details about us. Guess there's nothing we can do about these things.

I'm in the US & it does happen to me from time to time. I've always attributed it to being in the promoter program & the customer coming to Zazzle via my link but buying something from someone else. Thus, I wouldn't get any royalty that way but Google still tracks it as a sale for me?

BTW, I just got 2 of those google analytic sale confirmations today, without getting any royalties. UGH
