As a member of the Auti community, AI ( a new discovery for me) makes my written words more human (ironically).
I have discovered my written words, especially when in debate or imparting information, that I am more AI than an AI and as such my words lack that sentimental ( I call it flowery) essence that regular humans achieve effortlessly.
And so for long posts which I feel may be misunderstood or received poorly, I have used AI (maybe twice so far when I've been anxious about reception) to give them a 'human' spin and so I am sharing this tip not just for fellow Autists like myself but to shed light on how some forum communications across the board can be poorly received, misunderstood and divisive but also to share how incredibly hard it is for Autists to be effective in this environment. To illustrate what follows is the AI version of this dialogue.

AI
"
As a fellow member of the Autist community, I recently discovered AI and it has been such a helpful tool for me in making my written words seem more human, even though it's a bit ironic. I found that, in the past, when I would write longer posts, my writing would sometimes come across as more robotic and lacking the emotional nuance that so many people communicate effortlessly. To help improve the way my words are received, I've started using AI to give them a more human touch.
I wanted to share this tip, not just for those in the Autist community, but for anyone who struggles with effectively communicating in an online environment. I know it can be challenging, and it can be easy for our words to be misinterpreted, leading to misunderstandings and even division. So, I hope this little insight can help others find success in their online communications. "

It isn't wildly different (is it?) so this might not be a great example, but for fellow Autists
If when using AI, you ask YOUR words to be written in a 'friendly, chatty, humble, human way' it will rewrite accordingly.
For regular human's please bear in mind some of the users here are Auti's and as such their 'tone' might not be intended to be as 'officious or lacking in compassion as it may appear.
Also worth noting, AI is teaching me to communicate in the written word more effectively so as a learning tool it is also massively helpful. Generally, I make many drafts and edits trying to get a single forum reply 'sounding' right. Which mods know from my editing history which is somewhat excessive.

What a useful tool! It is amazing that it so easily passes the Turing Test. Alan Turing himself would be flabbergasted. Machine Learning is the new frontier.

It really is amazing. I posted previously re how it can help us with product descriptions. It was through dabbling with that, that I worked out AI can help me 'generally'. I don't always write like a robot, but it is something that specifically occurs re forums. I think due to past experience re bad comms, I decided to remove 'all human extras' to try to eliminate offence. and it has become habit that I can't now easily shift away from.

Just wanted to add, im glad to read your post and hear how it is helping you, i have been slowly introducting my children to ai tools for writing for the same reasons, 4 of my children have a diagnosis of autism, and was doubting whether it was a good idea or whether it would be of benefit to them. Thank you

I hope it does serve them well. In the immediate time and also over time re helping them adopt those nuances into their own speech written or oral.

For what it's worth, I did not know (or suspect) that you were an "Auti" or sounded "less human" than AI. I was very surprised when you mentioned it one day.

Thank you. I think I am only aware it's an issue myself when misunderstandings arise as I don't appear to be able to properly get my point across without annoying someone.
