How to Maintain and Improve Product Rankings and Views on Zazzle?

I’ve noticed that my products perform well on Zazzle for a few days after creation, but then their rankings and views start to drop. What could be causing this decline, and what strategies can I implement to maintain and improve the visibility and performance of my products over time?

Any insights or advice from experienced sellers would be greatly appreciated!

I have noticed and wondered the same - especially with items I had not promoted on Social Media.

I'm just guessing, but when I create a product, I usually go look at it right after I create it. This generates a view. Then in the process of making covers and promoting it, I usually generate a few more views on that product. So I'm sure that bumps up the stats even though it's just me looking at it.

But also, one of the filters on Zazzle search results is "newest." So I'm sure newly created products get a bump in the marketplace from that filter. And Zazzle may do other things to promote new products as well.

I generally post everything to Pinterest when I make it, and I don't know, but I would imagine that they probably also do some promotion of new pins, so that might help as well.

Those are my guesses. It always makes me super excited when I sell something just a few days after making it!

I've noticed that my newly created products initially get good positions in the search results and attract a lot of views after a few days. However, over time, they start to drop in ranking and receive fewer views. What could be causing this decline, and what strategies can I implement to boost the rankings and visibility of my older products to get more views?

I don't know. Honestly, I never look at the marketplace, and I have no idea where my products show up in various searches. I just don't think it's a good use of my time because the search terms that a customer might use vary tremendously.

Instead, I just do all of the "normal" stuff. I make sure my products have good tags, titles & descriptions. I try to make quality covers, and (time permitting) videos. I try to make sure everything is properly in the right kinds of collections, and I promote everything on Pinterest.

After I do all of that, I look at which of my products get the most views & sales, and then try to do more of that.... Meaning I look at how I promoted those products and try to do that for others, and I try to make other products that somehow play off of the traction that the successful ones are getting. That's my strategy in a nutshell!

That's a cute idea! I don't have any products like that. Well, off the top of my head here are my thoughts:

1) The card is a bit small in the cover image - it's got a lot of small text to begin with, so I'd probably try to crop your cover more tightly to make the card a bigger part of the image. Something like this:

2) Your tags use the word "bridesmaid" 6 times. That's a waste of space - Zazzle will really only record it once. Also the word "card" is superfluous here - Zazzle knows it's a card. You could maybe include it once, but again, you're just wasting space. Your tags don't describe the design at all.

I would include tags like "sage green" or other info about the color scheme. It sounds like you're expecting people to change the colors themselves? In my experience very few customers know how to do that. And even if they do, they seldom search for things with the intention of changing the colors. I think you're better off publishing 12 different varieties with different color schemes and marketing them separately.

You also don't describe the design at all, nothing about the dress or the calendar or the rest of the design, and nothing about the fact that the bridesmaid's name is included at the top.
will you be my bridesmaid, modern bridesmaid cards, bridesmaid info card, elegant bridesmaid cards, bridesmaid proposal, minimalist, bridal party cards, color palette, bridesmaid duties role, khob wedding

3) I'm not sure I understand exactly how this card is intended to be used. This is a card sent to one person? If I received this card, I wouldn't understand exactly what it's telling me. Am I supposed to wear the color of the dress? Am I supposed to choose one of the colors from the ones listed? Are the dots next to the other bridesmaids' names showing which color is assigned to them? Perhaps I'm just ignorant (likely I am,) but you might want to clarify that in the design.

4) Your card is listed under Invitations & Stationery > Invitations & Announcements - I think that's the wrong department. I'd put it under Wedding > Invitations & Stationery > Bridal Party Proposal Cards > Will You Be My Bridesmaid Cards

That's about all I can think of. I don't do anything special with Pinterest. I just use Zazzle's pin function to pin it to one of my boards, and that's all I do. I'm sure there's more you could do with Pinterest, but I'm not an expert.

Good luck!
