Just Curious - Shops with Lots of Views, low Earnings

Hey guys, I'm just cusrious about a phenomenon I see from time to time. I stumble across very established Zazzle stores, created years ago,  that have thousands of views on some products. And yet the seller label just says 'Pro'. Which is supposed to suggest that a person has not yet reached 1000 USD in earnings. But how could that be possible if they have so many views? Surely this must've let to earnings. Or maybe there's a way to hide your Pro Bronze / Pro Silver badge and poeple just chose not to display it?

If anyone can help me with this mystery, I'll be very grateful 🙂

Hey FireSparks,

Yes, you may turn off the Pro badge within your advanced settings in the backend!

A shop can use the generic pro label even if their status is a higher level such as gold, the reason mainly being that others can use that info to manipulate that shops’ products in various ways. Say for example a gold level shop. Or, a shop can choose not to display a badge.

What do you mean by manipulate the shop's products?

@SORS

As Fiona stated, you can hide your Pro Bronze / Pro Silver /Pro Gold badge and  choose not to display it. Hopefully the word manipulation fits the concept I was posting about. Going further,There are past posts on this and other PODs, of shops having images copied and manipulated/altered and sold on other shops, also posts about other shops copying complete descriptions and tags/keywords, including the shop name. Very stressful when it happens to you.

Good to know. Thanks!

The badges are pretty meaningless now, since it could mean you're making $10 or $10K per month. My 3 main shops have different views-to-sales ratios.

How do you know a store other than yours had a lot of views?   I can only see how many views my own products received.

I meant views on the product page 🙂

I just found out where you can see that.
