My post was marked as "spam"? Did someone do that? Or what triggered it?

Hi there - I just tried to post this message in the discussion forum and it says it has been marked as spam and is not showing up. Did some other user mark me as spam? Or did something in this message trigger it?

Just trying to figure out if I did something to trigger it or this just happens sometimes. Thanks 🙂

I doubt anyone flagged the message , it just happens sometimes and usually the Mods come around and say 'sorry about that, you got caught in the spam filter, your message is posted now'.

Ah perfect! Was just wondering if I had done something to trigger it - or if it just happens. First time for me. Thank you!

What's interesting is that I initially reacted to the title of that post, thinking it was someone trying to sell something to the users here, and so I didn't bother to read it, not until I saw this thread. Whatever got me may be what triggered the filter. However, it goes to show how automation isn't always a good thing.

Ah I see! No it’s just I’m a fairly new creator so I thought I’d see what everyone’s favorite and best products are. For instance I really like the acrylic trays and glass trinket dishes - they look like very good quality.

That's interesting that you saw it was marked as spam.  My posts and comments had apparently ended up in a spam folder a few weeks back, but they just disappeared from view. I never saw anything and couldn't figure it out.  It wasn't until Scott cleared the spam folder and he told me.

Yes it didn’t send me a notice or anything but I couldn’t figure out where my post was because it wasn’t showing up. So I clicked on something called “subscriptions” and it showed all the posts I’m subscribed to receive notifications on. We are auto subscribed to all the posts we do. When I clicked on the post, then it showed it had been “marked as spam” so I wasn’t sure if it was a spam filter or an actual user reported it. Then there is a button to click if it was marked spam in error.
