I would like to see these folded, in order to gauge the thickness.

@BKMuir Have a watch of the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5uuKzCOzfU0
they do look quite thin to me (they weigh 1.25 pounds (567g). I reckon if you have a microfiber cloth to hand - fold one and you'll be able to gauge the thickness

A circle seems an odd shape for a beach towel because only if you lie on it in the middle will you get the standard length of approximately 5 feet. Otherwise, you'll be hanging off at both ends. It would be awful for taller people. Good, perhaps, for wrapping around oneself, but I'm not so sure about sunbathing.

The rectangular beach towel is only 70, so just shy of 6 feet, so many of us couldn't lie fully stretched out on those either. These round ones, I see more as giant placemat to spread your stuff out on, or just to sit on with much more room than a regular beach towel. And if you took one of these to watch a show at the park, you'd be creating a nice 5-foot bubble of personal space instead of just 3. 😉
I hate to say it in this forum the public can see on Google, but agree with @Sara_H that these look quite thin. Will have to wait for some reviews to come in to see if people are happy with them.

My beach days are quite a bit in the past, but thinking about it, I never used a towel for anything but drying off. We used what we called a "beach blanket," which was an old bed blanket that had been replaced. The last time I went to an outdoor concert, I brought a lawn chair that was a pain to carry but nice to sit in. Your idea of using a round beach towel would have been less unwieldy.

These are quick dry. That's why they are thin. My family all has quick dry towels (we travel a lot and they are small and easy to pack). They are thin but they work great AND they do dry super fast which again is good for travelling when you might be on the move and don't have a lot of time to wait for them to dry.

I agree. However, if you click on the Pinterest link provided with the video, round towels are currently trending.

The ones with fringe are truly attractive.

This was a trend back in 2014, normally they have a fringe around the edge. They are used for mediating on at the beach not drying off or laying on. But ya that was in 2014 I don't know about now.

I really like the look of these and am enjoy creating some big round designs for them. Being so lightweight is definitely a good feature for travel.

I just wanted to ask a question regarding the new round beach towels, it says that they are "completely sold out" so my question is: is it worth still designing? Will there be more coming in? and if I design one will it even be listed as it's competely sold out? Thanks in advance,
Liz

Something I've noticed during my 10+ years here is that newly introduced products can often be here today and gone tomorrow. I've no idea why this should be, but most likely it's the suppliers over which Zazzle has little control. Regardless, I no longer trust the new stuff and refuse to design for it until and unless it remains in stock for a solid year or more. I still get burned by it now and then, the most recent being the framed clocks, which I loved, and all of which are now "sold out." It's totally up to you what you do about the beach towels, but I think sold out products still show in the marketplace. Take a look to see if they're still listed. Personally, and if inspired, I might design just a few and then sit back and watch.

Thank you for getting back to me, I appreciate that. The reason you give makes total sense and it's a shame because I thought they may just have sold quite well. I did do a few designs but I'm going to hold off doing more until I see what happens. Thanks again and have a happy new year.

I came here looking for the size or upload image 😕 next I have to remember where those sizes are on site.
@James, if possible can you include a link too size chart, or a full image size needed in the future? Thank you.
