To keep this simple I'm going to throw out some fictitious numbers as an example. At the end of the month my account shows $300 cleared. A few days into the new month my account shows I'm getting a $275 payment. The remaining $25 becomes pending again and stays in my pending amount. This occurs every month. There are no cancellations and the full $300 showed cleared up until payment time. Why is this happening?

You are paid, not for the month that has just ended, but for the previous month. So, for instance, October's payment is for everything that cleared in the month of August. Anything that cleared from September 1 through September 30 will be paid in November. The only way to know for sure what you'll be paid before the payment shows up as a debit is to add up all your royalties for the specific month. Anything occurring after that month won't be paid until the month after and will remain in the cleared earnings at top right of your earnings page.

I don’t think it’s pending again, it’s still cleared, it’s just that not every $$ that is cleared at the moment you are looking was cleared when the check was issued…

I was under the impression the check gets issued after the month ends. When is it actually issued?

For the month of September my check was printed 9/14 and I'm pretty sure I got it by the 20th

Right. So the question remains: Why doesn't the full amount of cleared transactions at the end of each month go on the next check. I'm still confused. Why would a portion of that amount not make it onto the check?

Perhaps I should have said when the check amount was authorized… as far I have seen it’s rare to have the full mount of ‘cleared’ money make it into the check - some of it generally has cleared after the end of the current cycle and will go onto the next month. It’s nothing to worry about…

Ok, and that makes sense. Do we know when the checks get "authorized" each month? I'm not suggesting I'm being shorted. I'm only trying to figure out approximately when, each month, I should stop relying on the cleared amount to determine how much my next check will be. Thank you.
