Regarding product visibility

Hi, i want your suggestions regarding product visibility in marketplace. My zrank is 8.  It is written in their zrank section that stores with higher zrank will have preference in marketplace. but my products are least visible even when there are only 200 products in that category. the highest views on any of my products is 12. I am also sharing on pinterest but no positive results so far. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

thanks.

If you want to focus on a just a few products, they really have to be pretty unique if you want them ever to be found in the market place...

I honestly don't know how much if any influence Rank has on being searchable. What I do know is that brand new products that have keywords that will turn up tens, if not hundreds of thousands of hits like "floral sweet sixteen party invitation" likely have little chance of ever being seen,  no matter how high your Z rank is, as the results are and have always been limited to a certain number of pages and there's still going to be too many people who precede you in line. If you want to try to break into the really crowded markets here - traditional/trendy birthday, shower, wedding invites, you need to market the heck out of yourself outside of Zazzle..

It appears you have only 35 products, which means you should probably work on creating a lot more so you have a much greater variety. It's too early to worry about where you stand in the marketplace.

thank you for your suggestion. Basically too many products without any sale will lower my zrank and subsequently my visibility. I am just trying to avoid it.

Rising in the marketplace is almost entirely caused by sales. People with a lower rank than yours get good or even great sales. Sales come with good design, titles, and tags. zRank appears to be related to views, sales compared to non-sales, and maybe (though I'm not sure) amount of sharing. My rank dropped by two points a month or so ago, and my sales have greatly increased since then. Pay more attention to what you're doing and less to Zazzle's algorithms.

That first part is true. The % of products sold absolutely effects zRank. But how much zRank effects visibility is highly questionable. People searching by keyword are going to find your product if you have the tags they are searching for. But if you are doing popular/trendy themes in a highly saturated market (which invitations are) there could be thousands of results for the same keywords. To rise to the first couple pages of results, never mind the first page or default cat pages, the products need sales. Once you start going deeper into results to all the products that presumably haven't sold, then maybe the zRank of the store the product is in a factor in what ranks where. Maybe. Only Zazzle knows what role zRank actually plays. Likewise, only Zazzle knows what determines "Popular" which is the default sort in the MP.

Your designs and tags look good but your oldest cards are not even a month old yet and you are facing steep competition from established products.

You just need to be patient and do as much promoting off Zazzle as you can.

I don't know how important zrank is, but I certainly wouldn't make fewer products just to try to keep it high. The bottom line is that you want sales. I suppose you can try for the "home run" approach i.e. making just a few products and trying to get one that sells really well, but my approach is the opposite. I try to make products that will appeal to a wide variety of tastes and color schemes. For reference, I have over 16K products.

The "home run" approach isn't a good way for another reason. A fine example is one of my clocks that sold in the multiple hundreds, and then one day, its sales dwindled down to almost nothing. If I'd depended on that single clock, I'd have to start all over again, trying to find another home run.

Many of us have had the experience of selling items only after they've been in our store for a number of years, and after that, the items rose a bit in the marketplace and sold again. You just never know if or when a product will catch on and start selling. To have this happen, you have to a good amount of products and, as you mentioned, @Cat , a wide variety of types and styles.

zRank is an unknown entity and it's a mistake to focus on it.
