Mine were down for awhile. Very few sales on some days. But the last few days they have really taken off. With a couple of sales for multiple items with the same design. I can't explain it but it is not unusual for me.

Yes, the number of sales are lower/slower... but I'm noticing the sales are more higher in royalty lately. So people buying higher priced items than I'm used to selling of people buying higher QTYs of an item.

I have noticed the same. Has there been a change in how customers can find our designs?

When I look for one of my own designs on Google and then click on it (not being logged in), I'm first presented with what could be called 'the page before the page' (the product page). On this pre-page I find a lower resolution image of my design and the suggestion to view the Product details. Below is a row of mostly my own designs (called Other designs you might like) and then 15(!) rows of other designs (called Popular from this Department) until I finally can see my own collection and description.

I have also tried to look for the designs of other creators, and exactly the same thing happens. Has there been a discussion about this?

Would you like to swap links?

It should be much better, ... 😞 🙂

It does seem to be that way lately, but in particular, Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays are almost always much quieter for me than the other days of the week.

I find my sales are also lower on weekends, I just assume people are out having fun.  On weeknights they come home from work tired and just cruise the net and watch tv?

maybe -- and long weekends are even worse!

yes, I noticed that, too.

I just registered my first 2 sales for April on the 9th.

@WHS_DesignsI find the opposite, most of my sales are on Saturday/Sunday.

wow, that is strange indeed!

@BKMuir we must be on different servers. 😉

well, that’s different. I usually don’t get anything during the weekend.

Thank you to all for your feedback,  I suppose folks don't have  a whole lot of extra cash right now. Lets hope it picks up for summer. 😊In the mean time as always its good to know I am not alone.

Yes, I was thinking it may have to do with the economy. I wonder how the other pod stores are doing.

It's pretty discouraging, to be honest. I've really enjoyed my time designing on Z - but it might be time to give it up....

I am fairly new to Zazzle and have been told it takes years before receiving steady sales.  Well, what will be a lot of sales for some, might be nothing to others.  Let's hope that when sales increase, they will also include big ticket items.

NO! DON"T give up! Sales go up and down all the time, you can have many sales one month and nearly nil the next. If you have no shop, you can't sell can you? just leave it and come back when you are more motivated by a particular design/idea you have.  keep going, it will pick up at some point.

I've made about 1/2 the royalties April 1-14 this year versus April 1-14 last year.  Sold a couple more products - so making less money and less money per product.  Hoping it will get better.  March this year was slow early on but ended up having a decent month.  I was hoping for more Easter sales but only sold 4 cards this year.

Same here, like 50% decrease!OUCH!

I’ve made about half the sales that I did this time last year. So yeah... pretty slow!

I just checked this month's sales vs April 2021. I have made nearly double the # of sales, yet they have been small items so I've only earned 1/2 the $.

YES! Mine have been way slower compared to this time frame of years past...

I've just had a flurry of sales, yet my Z ranking is down a point. 🤔  Not sure what to make of it.  Anyone else ever had that happen?  Do we have any info on the frequency with which Z rank is calculated?  Is it daily?  Weekly? Monthly?

All I can say is that,(years ago) when I got rid of all my bulk created products(the ones with all the same tags etc, made with the Quick create tool), and started making individual designs, matching the design to the product, and changed all the nil views products, my z rank went up. Now I maintain my site by optimising and viewing when necessary, so there are no products with nil views, and review alll the ones that are about to be hidden (I think it's no views in 9 mnths?), either deleting the ones I no longer like, or optimising the ones I do, so that I have NO hidden products.

I do this by each month going to the last page of "last viewed" selection within the product visibility option, and working backwards, till I have reached the 7mth "last viewed" stage. If I have a busy month in RL coming up I will do this right down to the last 6 mths.

I hope this helps.

That’s so weird; the exact same thing happened to me! Okay, so what happened on tuesday that caused a surge in sales on wednesday and thursday? Because that is to much of a coincidence to just be a coincidence.

The same thing meaning just a flurry of sales, or sales combined with a drop in Z rank?

KayCordingly

Oops, sorry; meaning the flurry of sales. There was some confusion on my part because I thought I got a notification that another person said that their sales also suddenly increased, but it turns out that Zazzle sent me a notification that someone interacted with a comment from much earlier in the month.

No sales whatsoever in 2022... went from Zrank 4 to Zrank 5, I have great designs... but zero sales, nada, my products don´t appear in the marketplace, and most of them have 1 or 2 views. I have been promoting for years in Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, even had a blog.... nothing, I am just getting tired....

I have made one sale the entire year (besides a few of my own).  I have only been a Zazzler for less than 2 years, so I don't expect much, however, before this year, I had at least one sale every other month with no cancellations at all.  This year I had three sales, and two of them got cancelled shortly after they were purchased (I assume there was something wrong with their customization of my product).  I am also frustrated, because I created a lot more products since last year and have less return.  My Zrank also went up a notch, so I have my thoughts that Zrank really matters, especially after I read someone had no sales ever but a higher Zrank than mine.  I checked out your site, and I do agree, you have some great designs.  I could also see you made it to ProBronze which tells me you've been selling a lot before. It may just be that people are worried about their finances because of the high inflation and they may just have enough to buy necessities or are saving their money for rainy days.  Of course there are always people who have plenty of money to spend or think they do.  However we all know that there are few rich people in this world.

Thanks for the feedback. I visited your stores and I think, you will succeed here, your designs are more appealing to a larger group of people than mine. I like your wildflowers scenes and the pillows, and of course people go crazy for pet stuff. I am more into apparel (printed all over apparel), abstract art, and art in general.

You were right, I have been here for a long time, and there were years with good sales. Even during the pandemic years, things were ok, but now they are just awful. It frustrates me to find lousy designs (sorry, but it's true - I have made some  too) appear in the first pages of the marketplace, and the cool ones, since they don't sell as much, are lost in the vastness of Zazzle.

I know, economy is not good, war is raging, and shipping products is getting tougher, but I never thought my store will get this bad.

Thank you for your compliment!  I hope you're right about my success.
I use Google Analytic to let me know how many visits I get to my site, and noticed, I get a few more visitors now than before but I have less sales now.  That makes me think people do like what they see but are not able to buy right now.

I feel the same way about what is posted on the first pages of the marketplace.  Definitely not colorful and catchy items, like many of mine are.

Well Ilike your designs!  Ihave found my florals and gradients are better sellers than the abstract ones, and business items are quite a steady sell.... Ithink it's becuase the abstract/patterns are so hard to desbribe sometimes. but who knows. I do not promote on pinterest but do load some up for others to promote for me. (in the old forum haven't quite got around to that again yet, but you could try that, since the promotors probably have better links/views/traffic thank I do.

My sales are up and down. I get a few good sale days then days with just a card or other low value items at best. I think Pinterest sadly isn't generating traffic the way it used too. I discovered on one of my items pinned the other day and clicked on it but took me not to my product page but to the main zazzle screen and like others have said a lot going on in the world outside of Zazzle not helping. I get more pinks too I am sure a lot is because of late shipping as many of my products are time sensitive. Not sure about the US but here in Australia the post is shockingly bad and slow at the moment. Thursdays is normally my best day for sales. But with Zazzle you just never know when the next item sells. I just keep at it and hope things will get better. ❤️ The other thing is alot of items are in and then out of stock so that certainly isn't helping either...

My sales seem to be better than ever, though they never were much before.  Just a little history: Been here just over 2 years and took a "time-out" to grieve and settle family matters, but have started "designing/creating" again.  It may be a timing thing for me, more designs, better knowledge (ha, ha), and most gratefully, 3rd party referrals, but I try to be forever hopeful.  In these times, this economy and all that is discouraging, maybe the little and big things tend to have more meaning and therefore the thought means so much more.  So personalization and uniqueness verse "off the shelf" may be the answer and we all may help with that.  Keep the faith in what you do and always hope for the best.
