Same creators are always featured / in the "spot light"?

I've been on this site for a few years and I see that the same creators are typically featured on the front page. They also have a large amount of "Editor's Picks" even though so many other designers have similar items or designs.

Are these spouses of the owners or can you pay a premium to be featured? Even the simplest of designs where I would get a "optimization needed" tag, theirs has a star and shows on the front page for a search. 

I'm sure it's mostly automatic, but it just seems so lucky I guess .. that it's the same people.

I was just having a conversation about this. It appears to me Zazzle prefers to feature a certain aesthetic via the key pages and email from what i've observed. And my guess is if you are already on their "radar" then they will continue to choose you when it comes to product promotion. Of course this is just my guess but it seems a pretty standard format when selling in mass market places. The powers that be will continually promote what is popular or perhaps trending.

All that being said I would like to know what one needs to do to get on their "radar".
