Under review items

I had a couple of public domain items that I posted. The issue was not trademark/ copyright, but rather the name of the actual art piece… referencing a male bird. 

no big deal, except now I cannot delete those and they’ve been in the “under review” area for the better part of a year. 

now, I created a graduation banner and my over-achieving fictitious graduate was magma c#% laude… apparently the middle word, even though not elicit in this context, set off a flag because that is also now under review… I duplicated it, and made the graduate a valedictorian and that is also under review. Nothing is being approved or denied, it just sits there, taunting me for my lack of foresight. Is there ANY way to delete these items?

From my own experience, there's no way to delete them. I've had two items under review for about a year because they contained the Pat-a-Cake rhyme with a word (pr*ck) that the dirty-minded algorithm didn't like. I remade the products without the word, tried to delete the two under review, and finally gave up. They'll probably sit there beyond Armageddon.
