Would you prefer if products opened in a new browser tab? We do this on search results pages - it helps a user keep their place on the page.

Yes, I would like products to open in a new browser tab.

Also, could we have the ability to collapse/hide the bookmark on the left?

It looks good. I did find one glitch though. The group products option in the actions dropdown is being cut off and only showing half of it.  I love having 7 products on each row.  Would also like to have everything open in a new tab since I usually right click for that option whenever possible, it would be great if it was automatic.

Agree, new browser tab. Also, is it possible to make it so we can see the full title? (I already wrote a separate post in the feedback forum because I didn't see this thread so you can delete that if it's duplicate info... or maybe I can delete it myself? But I digress.)

In the old version we could hover over the title to see the full text, but it doesn't work here. Would be even better if we could see the auto-appended text too. I would love it if the whole title was right there - and I wouldn't mind if it wrapped to 2-3 lines to show it all. I try hard not to duplicate titles so anything that makes it easier to see what I've already used is helpful.

sharing a tip... when you hover over the image, check in the lower left corner for the url and the whole title is there.

The tooltip will return with our next site update (later tonight).

I think that opening items in a new tab would be helpful.  Thanks for all you do.

@buxmontweb This would be the place to voice that concern about the switch you mentioned.

I also do Postcrossing!

I would have posted it here if Scott's post had been there before mine.

+I am still seeing three products across....is there a way to see the seven mentioned above? (MIght be related to me working on tablet, I guess).

I also do Postcrossing!

I am only seeing 2 products per row, giant thumbnails, no apparent way to change it. Very distressing.

They made the page responsive so how many you see across depends on your screensize / resolution.

You can see more products per row by decreasing your browser Zoom below 100%

Sigh. So I guess with this update, me and the others who had 120% and were able to see 3 are now limited to 2. I had to bring my screen from 120% to 90% to even get 3 back on the screen and at that point I can't see the smaller print so...2 it is.

I'm on a tablet so I can reduce my Zoom to 90% to get 4 products across, then pinch and zoom to magnify the screen larger while keeping the 4 products across (tho it means cutting off the edges and panning to see them).  If you're on a Windows PC, you may be able do the same using one of the magnify options provided (under Accessibility maybe?) after reducing Zoom.

Small issue. The drop down at the top lets you choose how many products to show per page. The choices are all multiples of three - but now I've got 5 products across, so it always shows blank spots at the end. Not a big deal, just a little off.

Tip: You can show as many products as you want by manipulating the url. Choose 48 from the drop down, then change ps=48 in the url to whatever number you desire 🙂

Thank You!!!

I can't get ps= higher than 120 to work anymore, can you?

Great to know, thank you so much! I didn't think it was possible to get anything but the default options!

Back end changes look good!  I have moved to my desktop and I have eleven products across. Shelli is right about the drop down menu in the Actions box. It's not long enough to accommodate all the options. And it's impossible for me to scroll  down to the lower options in the actions box,  due to the fact that the drop down box is hard up against the right hand side of the page so that I will instead hit the page scrollbar. Those lower options in the drop down box are not available to me, or visible to me.

I also do Postcrossing!

@Scott ''new browser tab'' yes please

Where is the dropdown that lets you select how many products per row in the back end? I now have giant thumbnails and only two products per row. Downthread a dropdown is mentioned but I can't find it. I am on a Microsoft Surface Pro which is a cross between a tablet and a laptop.

It dosn't let you choose how many per row, it's how many per screen. Pretty sure the number per row is determined by your screen resolution and the size of the window.

It's so much better now.

Yes, the Actions box needs to accommodate everything in the list.

It would help navigation if the department, etc. menu on the left scrolled independently of the thumbs so it's available no matter where a person is on the page.

I would like the products to open in a different tab.

I do not see any changes on my backend.  My screen resolution is at the suggested for my (HP ProBook) laptop, which is 1366x768. I am using Firefox, but also checked on Chrome and Edge all updated to the latest version.

Should I clear my cache out? I was holding off doing that because I don't want to have to log back into all my open tabs.

Voting for the new tab opening too please.

Would also vote for the Delete option to be  moved to the bottom of the action list if possible

Regarding # of products showing in backend.  I have my monitor default to 120% (need new glasses). When I logged in today, I only saw 2! items across.  I had to lower resolution to 90% to see the usual 3 (I'm okay with only 3). On days when my eyes are blurry, I may have to open my screen to full. I hate full screen applications ... I currently work with several programs open at once and taking up 1/2 or less of my monitor (20w x 12h).

BKMuir I think we have the precise same problem for the precise same reason. I'm also at 120% which had me at 3 products until today. I had to lower down to 90% to see the usual 3 but then I had trouble reading the fine print.

KeeganCreations

I didn't think about the page being responsive to the screen size.  I have seven across on my 19.5" wide screen at 75% resolution.   I haven't tried any other settings.

Hi @Scott I have noticed something since the update. In the past when editing the details of products one by one, after hitting "done" it would jog up to the top and then back down to the row I was editing so I didn't have to scroll back down and  find my  place again. This is no longer happening. It is jogging up to the top and staying there and I now have to scroll manually back down to find where I was. It was just super handy the other way, and this is more time consuming.

We will be adding this back soon.

I don't like to see so many products in a row, I am constantly looking from left to right, like watching a ping pong game. Is there a way to choose how many products are in a row or to go back to how it was?

Thanks

Adding in a few updates tonight:

1. allow a user to select a range of products via Shift+Click. We had this feature in the old version of the page, and it allows you to click a product, then Shift+Click another product to select all of the products between the two. This allows you to select a range of products at once.

2. Remember a user's place on the page. If you're scrolled halfway down the page and then edit a product's details, you'll then be pushed to the top of the backend page. With tonight's updates you'll be returned to your previous spot on the page to avoid disruption.

With regards to opening a product in a new tab, the engineer working on this update mentioned that this can already be done by middle-click (mouse) or by control-click. This means that a user currently has the option of opening a product in a new tab, or opening the product in the same tab. If we make the change (and have all products open in a new tab) then Creators lose the ability to open a product in the same tab. So we're still thinking about this one.

Wondering if we could get a page control at the top as well as the bottom of the screen. Often I'll get 20-30 pages deep scanning recent views etc. and then I want to get back to the beginning, and I find myself frustrated having to scroll back down to the bottom to do that. Also, it would be great if we could enter a page number rather than having to arrow through them. It would be helpful to be able to jump ahead if I'm looking for all the stuff I made last week or something like that.
