views before the product is seen in shop and on zazzle

In the last month, I've noticed that my new products have about 10, some even 20 views and I should actually be happy, but the thing is, this concerns products that I just published, they are not visible in my store, not visible in any collection, not yet visible in the Zazzle search engine, 0 views on Pinterest, but a lot of views in store management. How is that possible? Someone would have to log into my account to see them, or be a Zazzle employee. Do you also experience this, because I haven't had such situations before, but it's happening very often for the last month.

This is a sample product, Created on: 7/11/2025, 1:47 PM - after few hours it had 8 view, should be happy, but it's steel not visible in my store, nor in Zazzle search

I’ve also been noticing this phenomenon.  I know my own views are registered but can’t imagine why I’m getting others  without having yet been indexed.

I've been noticing this happening as well. It seemed to have started when all of the June problems happened.  There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the numbers too. Items made yesterday have views from 0-8.

Actually, since June a lot of weird things have been happening with Zazzle management, including product duplication, disappearing, changes in order... but there must be some reason for it, after all, these views don’t just come from nowhere.

Oh for sure still having many of the issues. They move around on the backend daily too. And grouping is still broken which is frustrating.  I don't know what happened with that early June update, but it's been rough since! 😩

I've had the same thing as well happening for the past few weeks, and also listings appearing out of order.

I  have also noticed that something is unusual with my Zazzle product views. Some of my newly published items—still unpublished to the public, not added to any collections, and not shared on social media—are showing 6 to 10  views in my store management.

They're only visible to me in the backend, which raises questions.  I suspect that these views are from my own activity when previewing or editing Also the views could be generated from  Zazzle's internal indexing or bots.

I’ve read that RealViews previews might be auto-generated even if you haven’t manually added products to a collection, and that could explain some backend traffic. There's also the possibility of API previews or staff moderation, especially if the product uses AI-generated art or unique formatting.

Well, I edit a product once right after publishing, then I immediately pin it on Pinterest. Sometimes, if my page closes accidentally, I go back to the product page, but usually no more than 3 times. So when I see 8 views or 20, I'm surprised; I mean, the whole Zazzle team would have to give it a view for those statistics to make sense. And I create pins manually, I don't use the API. let's see what customer service writes to me

It's strange, I sent an inquiry about this to customer service, and today another oddity occurred: my product was sold with a notification that the product has been removed, and when clicking on the link, the Zazzle products page opens. It's impossible to sell a product that has been removed and doesn't exist, and I'm sure I didn't remove any product today. I'm confused!

Not sure why my prior post is erroneously marked as an “Accepted Solution” since is solved nothing, and just affirmed the OP’s experience.

sorry just random click, I unfortunately cannot take that back.

The same thing is happening to me - maybe this should be in the technical forum?

I usually see always one view one or few days after my design on products are posted for sale, and not quite a sale close to this. And I was really afraid about who is overviewing every product I posted without buying it and didn't ask anything to the store owner. I haven't had any informations from anyone about this, Zazzle support too. Morevoer, Zazzle checking and product review is usually completed prior than the product is published for sale. The counter should count public views only, and I think it is like that.

Recently I saw that views increased suddenly after my product posting. However I do not suspect something wrong about talking about views. Once product is published, it is public on Zazzle, so anyone can view, even if Creator or promoter hasn't share it priorly on socials or anywhere else.

I've also noticed this issue with every new product logging multiple views, often within just a few hours of publishing.

I think this should go into the tech issue forum so they can check it @Scott @James
I see the same thing happening in my shop and it's something I reported back when the June problems happened. There seems to be some bots checking our products? These views come right after publishing, within a day. It is not normal behaviour and they are 100% not real organic views. As the OP said, they come when products are not yet indexed or promoted.

What I'm concerned is that
1 I think it always happens when issues in the site happen so maybe we see a new site fiasco and it's not time to go through that again, we need to be able to work
2 It might mess our future search position if it gets 10 views one day and then nothing for months?

@mgdesigns Let's hope it's a blessing in disguise: 10 views within a day, shooting to the top of search and receiving a multitude of views + sales thereafter. You are getting bonus views 🙂

I would prefer 10 sales over 10 or 20 views. 😉

i agree it's not normal this is why I sent it to Customer Care Team and have the answer now '"Also with regards to Product Views, we are unable to do individual analysis, however there are many reasons a product could be viewed. Your followers for example may have been notified of the new products if they were public or via a Zazzle advert. So this is nothing to be concerned about.",   The response is not satisfactory for me and does not explain where viw comes from, well, I don't know how Zazzle can advertise using products that are not visible either in the search engine or on the store page, the same goes for the people who are following me, there is probably some explanation, but I don't have that many followers. It's comforting that from a customer service perspective, there is nothing to worry about.

I'm getting these views too then when I go into insights it tells me no views

Could be a bot checking our content and logging a view when it does. Let's wait and see what the Zazzle team reports back to us.

I have also been noticing more views on the products I post before they have had a chance to index and appear in the marketplace.

How would bots have access to not yet public links?  That doesn’t make sense to me.

The team running the servers could use them. I am not saying they do, I am just saying that some companies use automated bots on the systems they manage for various purposes. Let's wait and see what Zazzle mods share with us.
