What's the trick to posting image links in forum

I successfully posted a product image (beginner's luck) in one of the "promote" topics, then attempted to grab an image link from another product and the link came out different 2 times and both were rejected (invalid extension) by Z's new system. What's the trick to getting the appropriate link, then, eh?

In the Share drop down of the product, pick the HTML (not the BB code). Then in the forum, click on the three dots on the right, then click on the HTML in the box icon, then paste your code. Then click Reply. You will get an error at first about invalid HTML code, that is fine, just click Reply again to post. It should work.

Took me a while to re-find my post here, but thanks for the info, I appreciate it.

I am ready to give it a go again chefcateringbiz! And Barbara, Our computer security was just changed last week!  That could be the problem!

Funny thing, I'm not seeing the three dots on the right in my window...

The three dots sit right next to "Macros."

Thanks, Barbara. I'm having some kind of browser/ security restriction. I have seen others' screen shots so I can see what it should look like.  When I first hit reply I see those commands for a split second, and then they get hidden. 😞

@Jessica_K  I don't know that it would help, but you might try lowering your browser's security level to see if that helps. Or maybe turning off your virus checker just long enough to see if it's the culprit. I had an issue recently elsewhere that I think was caused by having tried Thunderbird for my email. I didn't like it, uninstalled it, and the issue went away. Of course, this could have been coincidence. Computers used to be more obvious: If they didn't like something, they simply crashed, and that was that.

Thanks! Agree with all that you say about computers. I switched to a different device that I use less often until I sort it out.
