Why "EDIT DESIGN" blue button instead of "PERSONALIZE" button on my product pages?

I noticed that my product pages in all my stores have the blue "EDIT DESIGN" button instead of the blue "PERSONALIZE" button. My research shows that only about 1% of zazzle product listings are set up like this. I asked zazzle help about this a few months ago and they said there's nothing they can do about it. Do you have any ideas how to fix this and switch from "EDIT DESIGN" button to "PERSONALIZE" button showing on my product pages. I note that all the top Pro Diamond sellers have the "PERSONALIZE" button NOT the "EDIT DESIGN" button and I wonder if having the "EDIT DESIGN" button instead of the "PERSONALIZE" button might be driving away some customers who are expecting the "PERSONALIZE" button and are unfamiliar with the rare "EDIT DESIGN" button. Today I emailed zazzle help about this again and I'm waiting to hear back from them. THANK YOU---peter

I didn't click on all of your products... just a few, but I see the personalize button on the ones that I did.... Generally the edit button appears if you've not put any text fields on your product. If you have, the personalize button appears first (the customer still has the option to edit the design too, if you allow it.)

I didn't click on all of your products... just a few, but I see the personalize button on the ones that I did.... Generally the edit button appears if you've not put any text fields on your product. If you have, the personalize button appears first (the customer still has the option to edit the design too, if you allow it.)

I accidentally clicked on accepted solution. I just clicked on all the products I created today and they all still only have the Edit Design button.

maybe the customer see PERSONALIZE and the designer sees EDIT DESIGN?

THANK YOU Penguin. I had started fiddling around with the text fields today for the first time because i suspected that might have had something to do with it. I will check those products that i added text fields to today. THANK YOU so much!!

BTW - same goes for custom image fields too - if you put a replaceable image on a product the "personalize" button will appear first.

for some reason this is not working on mine as far as i can see. maybe a glitch. i guess i will have to examine more of my product pages

i see the "personalize this template" under the blue EDIT DESIGN button but 99% of listings have the large PERSONALIZE blue button at the top right.

Your view, as a seller is just different when you view your own products.
On the left is how I see my products logged in to my store - on the right how a customer sees it. Personalize is prominent.

I'm pretty sure that if you are looking at your own products, you will only see "edit design" for the most part, but on other designers' products with templates, you will see "personalize". I just did a quick test, and every one of my own products that I look at has the "edit design" option, but every one of your items that I click on says "personalize." So I think that whenever a designer looks at their own products, they'll only see the "edit design" option. But your items all look good to me and do say "personalize."

nevertheless, browsing through several hundred other sellers product listings it appears that around 1% have the blue Edit Design button above Personalize [text only--no blue button]. I pointed this out to another Zazzle seller / designer and she hadn't noticed it.

about personalizing:

Here's what you SHOULD see on each personalized product--
First: "personalize this template"> the next panel should show " make this a template object button" active/on,
then  "product page label: your name or your text

then
allow editing on product page button, should be active/on
(if allow editing on product page button isn't active, tthe personalize this template will not show for the customer)
Allow editing button not active was my issue,

Check those links/buttons, before you go any further with products.

I have already gone thru this issue with Zazzle tech, they WILL NOT fix the problem, They stated that review and replace is not something they can/will do. Also, further stated that I would have to redo each product that does not show the personalize this template. So, if this is your issue, your only recourse is to redo each product, I spent a month back and forth with tech,sending screenshots and explanations to them, and that was my only answer from them, to redo each product.

To check it ,while logged in, go to view public profile (CUSTOMER SIDE) to the right, under your store banner.  if you  see edit design> AND personalize this template, it is correct. If you only see "edit this design" then you will NOT SEE "personalize this template"

If you are logged into your account or you haven't added any text or image templates, you will see this.

This is what you will see logged out of your account and what a customer will see. I see the Personalize Blue Button, when I look at your products.
