My cards have always been at 14.9% royalty sold for 4.17. Zazzle recently changed the price of my cards to 3.49, When the card is purchased it is being discounted automatically 15% using the Father's Day Code and the customer didn't even have to put the code in. If there is no active promotion on the card, why does the creator have to take a hit on the price? I called Zazzle and they didn't have an answer for me, but would look into it. Has anyone else noticed this happening?

I am not seeing any active sales right now except these: https://www.zazzle.com/coupons
Even for Fathers Day cards, the only discount is when you order X or more cards and then qualify for X percent off your "bulk" order.
Zazzle may have raised or lowered the base/list price of a product, but it still works the same as it always did - Designer's royalty is based on whatever the customer actually paid. Doesn't matter if they used a promo code or got a bulk discount, your royalty is calculated on what they actually paid, not the "list" price.

I understand what you are saying, but why is the Father’s Day code automatically in the promo when I go to order it. I never inserted the promo code.

Hi @SORS ,
Thank you for reaching out. Our pricing is dynamic and can fluctuate frequently due to changes in material and printing costs, as well as other factors. We also reserve the right to do this if and when we need to. As an independent Creator, you have the flexibility to adjust the royalty you charge, which can impact the final price of a product. As a result, we are unable to guarantee specific price points at any given time.
Thanks.

Understood. But could we please get a notification or forum board where these changes are announced? It seems to be wildly fluctuating lately and very hard to keep up with regarding fine-tuning a good end price for the customer. Thank you, @James

I really don't think that that is a realistic request. It's similar to wanting out-of-stock items listed. There are so many products on Zazzle to monitor and the world has many rapidly changing parts these days. I am sure the price of paper and other inputs to production are changing constantly and Zazzle is working to stay on top of it. I don't think this is one thing that Zazzlers can micromanage.

Has anyone else noted a drop in card prices? It seems the discounts on cards have disappeared, but the prices have dropped which means our royalties are even less. 🫤

I noticed it the other day. I waited to see if it is a permanent thing because we are seeing so many changes. Looks like it might be.

I would welcome lower prices.
