With Easter, Mother's & Father's Day, St. Patrick's Day and so many other occasions knocking at our doors it would be extremely helpful to be able to create our own mockups especially for cards, so we can show front & inner pages/backside in one picture (which makes it easier also for customers to choose the right one without having to enter the product page first). It's also handy for other products that are printed on two sides, such as pillows. Once you had the opportunity to do so (beta), you feel lost without this option.

Thank you so much for a short feedback 🌹

I dont think I had the option if I did I dont know where I would have found it, but wish I had (also wish I'd had the beta to update existing products and I REALLY hope that comes back for good), however I would actually appreciate it just being defaulted for everyone with new options being available to everyone like some of the new views we are seeing on products. I can see things getting pretty messy and not as streamlined looking if everyone has the option to submit user images. It can get kind of ugly.. but I think updating them across the board for everyone, and also, making two sided views in one image for things that have fronts and backs (especially business cards, invitations, etc) are a really good idea.

I would also love to see under apparel mockups a variation in models (gender expression/race & ethnicity/size, etc) you can choose per product. If I did an afro icon with a comment about that hair on a shirt, it would be lovely to be able to put that shirt on a model that would likely be wearing said shirt, for example! lol.

@Shar-KenI think it is a great idea. I, however, would not have a clue as to how to do my own mock-ups. I do wish that Zazzle would have some better in situ presentations of our many products. It would be great to see pillows on a sofa or paperweights on a desk with papers beneath or wall prints and clocks on a wall, ceramic knobs on a dresser, close-up of jewelry on a person, serving trays displayed on a nice tablecloth or table, etc. The one thing I have been hoping for is to go back to a straight-on view of greeting cards. The angled view does not "sell" the product as well as a straight-on view might. It is really hard to read text at an angle and cannot show detail. As someone who does a lot of greeting cards, it would be very welcome to have this change. Close-up of someone holding it in their hand, taken from both front, straight-on and then as if standing behind the person holding the card fully opened and reading it."

I just saw the announcement about paper plates being back in stock and in that article, the fabulous new insitus for them. If you guys are working on expanding these types of beautiful insitus to more/most (of at least the most popular) products, I personally would really rather utilize those than spend all the time it takes to make my own. Mine would honestly look mediocre and subpar to the type you guys are currently adding. I also just discovered the new playing card insitus. I had no idea these were available. I hope this is the right place for this feedback, as it relates to my views on the ability/need to add my own insitus.

I wholeheartedly agree with these 2 suggestions. While I did participate last time, and don't mind making my own mockup images, it would be a huge timesaver to use the ready-made ones on Zazzle. And one drawback of creator-uploaded images is that they don't change when a customer personalizes the item, so it could be confusing for customers.

Yes! I really loved having this ability, especially for products without premade mockups available.

I was able to participate in the most recent Beta test adding my own mock up images to products.  I LOVED the opportunity and hope that it will be become a reality again for the long term. 🙂

Yes, I agree.
But, more importantly, it's the EVERY DAY event that is MOST important.
Sales sky rocket when the customer is VISUALLY PLEASED and MOCK UPS
Outside of Zazzle are TREMENDOUSLY effective.

Zazzle, please allow this for ALL Designers for ALL Days!!!

The next moment this opportunity arrives, i want to be a part of it!

Could someone please explain to me why only BETA?
Is there a possibility to make this option available all across the board?
Thanks

Hello @Fiorenzo
Warm Zazzle Greetings To You.

I've pondered over the last week how to present my questions and thoughts on the subject of "custom product thumbnails."  Firstly & realistically, I've seen some AMAZING thumbnail views, actually MOST are very visually inviting, sales are reported to have increased for BOTH Zazzle :& the designer.  That's a HUGE plus.  Secondly, why only for SPECIAL day sales, and rather for EVERY DAY sales Yeah!  Thirdly, only a reported 'SELECT" group were asked to take part of the beta testing.  Is there any way to become part of that now, or in the future, and how?  Lastly, there are probably some drawbacks for both the designer and for Zazzle.  Is Zazzle willing to take the risk and go completely forward with this option?

Thanks Sincerely.

I got my email to join the beta group yesterday, and was initially thrilled with the invitation, but then spent (too much) time trying to wrap my head around the concept of designing a mockup. Not knowing what formats were acceptable and then trying to figure out how to make only part of the mockup a smart object.

@Connie thank you so much for pointing out that the mockups that creators uploaded aren't dynamic and don't change with the design like the Zazzle generated ones are. This is going to cause confusion among customers who have long accepted that what they enter on their keyboard is what they're going to see on their screen.

I would still like the ability to make my own mock ups if it is being offered, like I said in my initial post.  I think Zazzle provided ones like I mentioned in my second post are the best option because they are well done, uniform, and dynamic; but since those aren't widely available I can make my own and would love a chance at the opportunity again.   I just mentioned that I was for Zazzle provided ones if that was more the road Z was going down not that I would not like the opportunity should it become available again!
