I create custom baseball cards using Zazzle business cards and sell quite a few of them. However, I'm convinced that I don't sell as many as I could, simply because that many potential customers don't want 100 cards of the same player.

A customer messaged me a couple of days ago to ask me if I sold custom baseball cards in packs of less than 100. She wanted to make three different baseball cards of her niece with three different photos in packs of 25. I had to inform her that unfortunately I had no control over that. That is a lost sale of 75 cards. There might be others like her that thought the same but didn't bother to inquire. How many times could I have sold a pack of 50 cards or 25?

At the very least, Zazzle should have an option to break up a set of 100 into sets of 25, that way creators can design 4 different cards in the same pack.

As I mentioned, I sell a lot of the packs of 100, but I'll wager that I would sell even more if customers had the option to order smaller packs.

Hi @fansportsspot,

If I read your post correctly, this might help you. I recently discovered that Zazzle does offer business card-sized cards in packs of 25. (People started buying smaller packs of things I'd designed in the past; I have no idea when the settings were changed... nor how it works for some cards and not for others.) I went in to find it today so I could share here, and even though they're labeled "calling cards" I was unable to locate the blank template in the array of options searching that page. BUT I did find a direct link from one of my products!
Here it is! https://www.zazzle.com/z/cr2na3gr
Delving more deeply, just now I also found these available in other quantities. Higher price points, but folks can buy 10 or 20 of this product. It comes with or without envelopes, too. This one seems to be called a flat note card:

I hope this helps.

@Mark- If you could suggest to "the powers that be" an easier/more thorough workflow/search ability for these small calling cards, that could be super-helpful. Thanks in advance!

Cheers!

Oh!!! Re seeing my first listing here as a visitor, it seems worth adding: I hadn't started using this new community forum yet and clearly didn't follow the appropriate steps to get set up. (I set up my first Zazzle store in 2017. Oops! High fives to my other ADHD peeps. ) I'll handle that before posting again! 🙂 Carry on! // Later after reading more - I see that the "Visitor" designation is just for those of us who haven't participated much. Seems I have lots of catching up to do! Thanks to all who do contribute so much! Your guidance is helping much.

@Melodywatson You're a lifesaver!

All this time and I never knew about the Calling Card. Going forward, I will be using it to create my baseball cards. Thanks so much for the great suggestion!

The only drawback is I just tried transferring one of my business card designs (same size) and it skewed all my text templates in the design. I would have to readjust all of them. Thankfully, when i start from scratch with a new design, that won't be a problem.

@Mark Could Zazzle please make the Calling Card available in 35 pt? That's the standard thickness for baseball cards.

@fansportsspotI'm so glad this helped! Too bad it skewed your text templates. But yay to new options going forward!

I don't remember how I learned about Calling Cards but I think it might have been one the designs some things were switched to during The Great Paper Breakout... or some time soon after? Either way, good luck!

@Melodywatson I just want to thank you again and post an update.

Since your helpful tip, I have created several sports tradings cards using the Calling Card product of 25 per pack, and my sales have increased significantly. I'm so glad you replied to my original post!
