At least once a month I get a message from an unhappy customer who misunderstood the ordering process for table number cards and ended up ordering all of the cards with the same number. They seem to assume that if they order 20 cards, they will get 20 cards numbered sequentially 1-20, but of course, this is not how it works.

I tried placing a mock order to see if it would give you any sort of an alert, and while it did advise me that I hadn't changed the table number, that message is clearly not enough for some customers. Maybe it could pop up something if you're placing an order in a quantity greater than one or something? Or maybe they could be offered in sets similar to the wine glass charms?

I'm not sure what the best solution is, but clearly at least some subset of customers don't get it.

To further add to the frustration, when I see an order come in for 20 table number cards, I know, somebody's messed it up again, but there isn't anything I can do about it. Maybe it could be flagged for customer support or something so these sorts of errors could be caught before going to the print queue?

For things like this, I've added the instructions as part of the text template description. Something like: "Personalize the design how you like it, and add one to the cart. Then click on your cart preview and come back to change the numbers until you have created a full set of table numbers up to the quantity you need, with each number showing in your cart preview."

It could probably be worded more efficiently for the template field, but I also keep that on deck to copy-paste in messages.

If we could get a full set of official "Table Number" templates in various sizes, with flat AND folded AND different paper types 😉 it would be neat to have them all have some sort of special template field that would automatically explain it or create an alert of some type. : )

@KC Ooooo! Those are wonderful suggestions! I'll see if I can come up with something succinct (not my strong suit) to put in the template field text/title/description thingy.

Even though I've added very simple instructions to the text templates and the product descriptions, I STILL get a lot of customers who don't order them correctly for some reason. I'm really hoping Zazzle can come up with an easier way for customers to order the table cards. Even if they could have a message pop up asking the customer if they're sure they really want to order 20 of the same table card, I'd be happy with that.

This is a good idea although I seem to be lucky because so far all of my customers got their table numbers ordering process right 😄

With that said, one of my customers made a mistake and ordered one number twice and after she asked me to fix it, I gave her the customer support contact information and that is what she wrote today:I did as you said and they won’t fix it so I had to pay 9.00 [I guess she means 0.9] more for one table number. This is nothing against you but this is definitely a company I won’t do business with again.

It was surprising to me that zazzle is not more accommodating, especially since it's such a small amount...

It would really be nice if Zazzle could actually arrange it so that it is possible for the customer to order a set of table number cards with the different numbers in sequential order. Such as a set of 1 through 20 or other amount. I don't know if that's a possibility, I just figured if that's what so many customers automatically assume, then why not offer it that way? Just an idea.
