I have two suggestions to enhance the design tool.

1. Add the ability to set the transparency of images. A subtle hint of a background image can be a powerful thing.

2. Add the ability to group images. This, in turn, would allow designers to tile more than one loaded image.

just tested to make sure, but you can already group images and tile them @Tutuzdad

Just wondering Sara_H, how you got that to work? I can group images no problem but I've never been able to tile a group.

Doh! So you can. I’ve totally missed that “group” icon at the top of the page. Thank you.

@Baylee the ability to group and then tile the group is relatively new,  and has been added within the past few months. So if you try again, you might get it to work. (As with all tiling, this does not work on SVG files. )

Thanks @Windy... I tried again but realized that I had text in my group so that didn't work, but a group without text tiles nicely! Definitely learn something new every day around here...lol.

I kinda got sidetracked with the tiling group thingee, so I forgot to give a thumbs up to the image transparency suggestion... that would be an awesome addition to our design tool.

Word of caution on tiling grouped images. I generally upload very large png files so that they will work well on all products - including large things. However, if you group and tile a bunch of large images, you end up with a design that's REALLY slow when the customer tries to customize it - even if their customization has nothing to do with the images.

adding to @Cat 's comment: if you try to manipulate (i.e. move/resized) tiled images after they have been grouped, it can also really mess visually with the layout of the design.

Kudos for the transparency/saturation filter. It's been suggested before. An adjustment to saturation would assist with designs on differing product and their drinting.
