Filter to Color Entire Image when Tiling

When applying an image filter to a tiled image, can we have more options to change the overall color of the tiled image as a whole.  The filters are all wonderful, however, some work best for single images and when applied to a tiled background you get a checkerboard design.  I know you are busy doing lots of other stuff, and, maybe it's not possible to change the color for tiled images.  Just thought I'd bring it to your attention.

This is such a good idea. As a matter of fact, this is the very reason I came to this forum today. A few more color options on the filters would go a long way. Thanks for sending.
