I'm sure this is something Z has done on purpose however, if someone is searching for the state of Maine they see pages upon pages of "main squeeze" wedding products. Yes there are the drill down circles but let's just say I don't see them. I'm given wedding foremost in front of my face. This only happens with Maine.

When I typed in Maine postcards, all I saw in the listing were Maine Postcards. There were circles that included wedding etc, but the listing was appropriate.

When you use those specific drop down links they do go to those products. I'm asking for the generic search of Maine to not include so many pages of wedding on those first pages. It stands to reason people are not looking for wedding when they type in "Maine".

It might be a good idea to report this through their "search feedback" function, if you scroll down to the bottom of the search results page. If you choose that you didn't find what you are looking for, you get the chance to explain. I just did it, but the more people that report the same thing, the better- hopefully it'll catch their eye and they'll change the algorithms.

Thank you Connie I will do that. 🙂

Good idea on feedback for flawed search. Maine never used to bring this up. I have a bazillion Maine products because we go there every summer. In the past, searches for Maine brought up Maine and Maine Coon Cat. Lemon themed "main squeeze" wedding designs must be in now.

I gave my search feedback as "State of Maine not represented in Maine search". The search algorithm can disregard the last letter which allows us to not have to waste a tag adding "s" for plurals. This was fine right up until "main squeeze" lemon designs got trending. And really, Maine is the only place I can think of where chopping off the last letter gives a new meaning so I wouldn't want the algorithm to stop doing that. Maybe an "if>then" tweak just for Maine would work.

I never thought there would be so much state stuff available! at least when someone types in Maine the dropdown menu has lots of obvious suggestions. Totally shocked at the amount of Cape Cod stuff available.

@KeegansCreation it's not that "main squeeze" is popular, Zazzle has put a priority on wedding showing in as many search terms as possible first.

This still isn't fixed. Any thoughts from Z?
