The notifications do not currently link to the specific product that is shown in them, but simply to general areas in the backend, leaving you to search for the object you have been notified about.  I hope this can be upgraded so that where where there is an image, it takes you to that specific product.

For example, I'll often see a notification that says "you have one product that needs optimization."  Let's say I think, wow, I really want to fix that item and get it back into marketplace.  But if I click on that notification it brings me to the big general listing of all of my products that need optimization instead of to the specific product I just saw an image of.  I would have to hunt - sometimes through several pages, to find that item I'd been notified about.  So I wind up not doing anything about it at that moment. It would be much more effective as a prompt if I could click on the image and immediately fix or delete the item that needs optimization.

The sales notifications also bring you to a generic page - the page with all recent sales.  That works for me, and I think it's less important for those notifications to go to the item page.

However, it would be really helpful if those optimization prompts took me right through to the specific product so I can take action on it.  I would definitely get more done.

Good morning, I hope this helps. In your back end listings, click under your viewing selection next to where is says "all" or "public" depending on what you have, on the botton click on "optimization needed", it will show all those.

SwissVillage is right,I have been having the same issues, the only way i can find the products is to visually search thru the section they might be in. In this case the optimization drop down doesn’t work and  only shows none needed when I “hopefully” use it only to get the none needed response.
I should have posted about it sooner, thanks for reporting it,SwissVillage.

@ibelieveimages - That is not what I mean.  What I'm talking about is having the images in our notifications about products that need optimization link directly through to the specific image that we are being informed about.

For example:  This morning I received this in my notifications.  And I thought: Well, I still like that Squirrel design, let me go in right now and try to fix up my key words and other details.  But when I click on the image, instead being taken directly to the specific product,  I wind up in the full list of every item in my store that needs optimization.  And because there are a lot of products in that category, I could not quickly find this table runner, and I have not fixed it.  These reminders would be more effective if they linked directly to the products they are showing.

OK, I see, sorry about that. That would be a good idea.

My only cure for this has been to think of it as a future forecast by waiting until the next day, at which time the products are likely to show up in Optimization Needed and/or Hidden. It appears the indexing isn't in sync.

In my notifications, I have items to be 'fixed' so I click on the notification and it takes me to the back end of different products, four of them that I've already optimized and yet they keep showing up for all of the notifications I'm getting. The same four, keep showing up, instead of the ones that are showing in my notifications!

@Cherie: Yes, I currently have three products in Optimization Needed that I fixed, tried fixing again, and then gave up. The indexer that takes care of such things has apparently gone AWOL.
